Good Food, Sub-par Service 11/12/2005

A trendy spot, aimed towards the younger generation. Nothing really unique to offer besides the nice atmosphere (dim lighting and multiple plasma tvs). The sushi was pretty good, reasonably priced. The sushi chefs were suprisingly young, but this did not seem to really compromise the quality of the food. However, our server seemed to have ADHD. She ranged from overly attentive to completely ignoring us, and ended up bringing our dessert before our sushi. Overall, an ok experience, but will not go back. Fuji 1546 is the one! 11/9/2005

Fuji 1546 is the great old crew from the original Fuji in Wollaston (they sold the name rights with the space to the new owners), and they've gotten even better in their funky, much larger new digs! This is easily among the best sushi in the Boston area, both the basics and more inventive fare. My 2 year-old loves the cooked stuff. People are Confused 7/26/2005

First of all, there is two Fuji's in Quincy and ppl are getting confused. Fuji's (original but under new mgmt) in Wollaston is very plain and okay. Fuji's 1546 is Quincy Center has a full bar and is much trendier. Plasmas everywhere (incl the bathroom) and dim colorful track lights. Don't forget about the hot bartendars there. Great hangout for drinks during the week. Pros: "Eye Candy", Trendy, Parking Cons: Can be pricey more

It seems to me that the bad reviews here are not for Fuji 1546, but for Fuji. The original restaurant which is now owned by someone else. Fuji 1546 is a new restaurant down the street. more

Awesome Sushi 5/29/2005

It is surprising to find such incredible and fresh sushi at a local place in Quincy. Who would have guessed? I am sure the management has changed since the last time reviewers posted their messages here. The service is extremely friendly, sushi is delicious and ..what a great value! We've had sushi in very fancy places downtown and it does not compare to Fuji. You should definitely try it! Pros: very fresh sushi, inexpensive, friendly Cons: small space more

Not good anymore 8/10/2004

They changed management and this place is the pits! My first clue that this was going to be a bad trip... They served green tea in teabags... They used long grain rice with their sushi and they didn't use soba dipping sauce (soy sauce with peanut butter for soba?!). The salad was swimming in vinegar. The agi-dashi tofu was terrible! The ""filet mignon"" was more like sirloin, and I was suspicious when it was only $1 more than the ""sirloin"". To top it all off, it wasn't a cheap venture either. Cons: , Green Teabags more

Been to many sushi places throughout North America, and Fuji's sushi is superb. Excellent, fresh sushi, fairly reasonable price, poor environment (crowded, limited seating, no parking). But who cares, eh? Pros: Food, Freshness, Quality Cons: PArking, limited seating more

Good for Quincy 8/11/2002

The fish here was surprisingly fresh for a small local unassuming storefront. Not much ambiance but the staff is very friendly and attentive. The sushi makes up for its really basic presentation by being remarkably fresh and tasty. The sushi chefs are an energetic group of 20 somethings who have a focus on flavor but have not yet mastered the skills focusing on the beauty of presentation evidenced by sushi master chefs. We'd give them time to learn as they have the basics down pat. Prices are fantastic. Pros: Fresh sushi, Friendly staff, great prices Cons: not well presented, small place, parking is tough more
