A great coffee spot 6/29/2006

If you want a steaming hot cup of drip coffee, or some wonderful espresso, visit Fuel on 19th. The baristas are friendly and efficient, the baked goods are delicious and the atmosphere is laid back. Pet friendly. more

even if you're on 15th, FUEL is only a short walk away and well worth the extra few blocks. their baristas are fast, friendly and know how to make great espresso! thank you FUEL.....you rock. more

Coffee was great, service very friendly. 2/21/2006

Just checked it out and the coffee and service were both great. Didn't try the WiFi but no one else seemed to be having any problems and the majority of the people there had a laptop. I'm willing to bet that in a few months it will be pretty hard to find a spot, once everyone realizes that they can get Victrola style lattes with easier parking and a more laid back vibe. Great place, check it out! more

Excellent Latte 1/6/2006

This is the THE best latte I have had in weeks. Fuel uses Caffe Vita beans and makes a superb latte. I live within half a mile of this place and even though Cafe Europa is closer I would go to this place because the coffee is SO much better. Ambience is cool, with nice decor (a very cool painting of the block sits near the register) and old photos (look for the one from the 1920's of this block). Fuel is across the street from Monsoon and just a few doors down from Kingfish Cafe, for you foodies that orient by restaurants! more

Little hangout on 19th 10/29/2005

Fuel is a good little coffee shop on 19th, a few doors down from Kingfish. The coffee is good and the baristas are friendly. Fuel is also dog friendly. There are some sleeping blankets for dogs just out front and you can pick up a few doggie treats with your coffee. If there is one downside it's that the place went slightly too far with the stark, modern feel for my taste. This is felt in the rigid layout of the tables and chairs to the music that's usually playing. Although, this is certainly offset by the comfortable chairs they have out front which are perfect for a nice day. more

Good place to hang 10/24/2005

I enjoy this little new coffee shop on 19th. The baristas are friendly, the lighting is good, it's quaint, down to earth but cool. The coffee is good and it has a good wifi signal too. The vegan cookies are amazing. Highly recommended! more

Great neighborhood cafe 6/15/2005

Fuel on 19th Ave E is a great new local coffeeshop. The coffee is reasonably priced and they do have a few pastries for the sweet tooth as well. The place has WIFI and they have a couple of small tables outside for when the weather is nice. Dog friendly as well. Overall is a fun little coffeeshop, a welcome change from the everpresent shadow of starbucks. more

New intimate coffee stop on 19th / Capitol Hill 4/26/2005

New java stop opened on 19th (next to Kingfish, and across the street from Monsoon -- specific address is 610 19th Avenue East, 98112) last week, and I absolutely love it. Dani (the owner) is extremely friendly, the coffee is delicious, and they've got free wi-fi -- what more could an internet addict ask for? Small vittles available as well, in case you're needing some non-liquid fuel. more
