An Alien space ship has landed and turned all the staff into pod people. Not the best customer service, but the appliance section is actually great. Also the food isle selection is a bit different with more chocolate options than other locations. more

Not a very happy shopping experience. I asked a worker for some help and he was was even more clueless than I was. If you work there, wouldn't you have SOME inclination as to where certain products are? Anyway I spent about an hour there just trying to see if they had the pc components I was looking for, only to find out they were out of stock. I think i'll stick with Amazon. more

I like it! 3/28/2012

I see a lot of bad reviews here and I'm not sure why. Frys is great! They have everything you could ever want. more

Terrible shopping experience. 7/22/2011

Went to get a camera for my daughter's b-day. All the inexpensive cameras mysteriously ""weren't charged the night before."" (i.e. we don't care about our low end customers) Found one she wanted and told them they had the same one for cheaper at Costco. After, and I am not exaggerating, 20 minutes they checked and confirmed what I told them. Then the manager told me they would add the shipping cost so the price would be the same as theirs, therefore, no discount. I explained that I had seen the price at the Costco and not online, but the manager cooly told me too bad. Fine, so I went back to Costco and got the camera with a case and 2GB memory stick included. Lesson to be learned: unless you like the demeaning thrill of being jerked around, go straight to another store and avoid the EMPTY PROMISES Fry's baits people with. more

Fry's in Southbay 7/3/2010

Many of the reviews on here for the Southbay Fry's are negative and it's good to know that my experience was not an isolated one. I found the people to be really rude, and either didn't know or didn't care where anything was. Kind of surprising actually that the vibe is ""we don't care about you, leave."" Truly, an awful experience start to finish. Pros: headaches Cons: ulcers more

Forget Service . . . remember prices 10/12/2007

Freekin' lousy customer service . . . Even worse parking . . . good availability of merchandise and good prices. Forget calling . . . long rings . . . convey info . . . transfer . . . more waiting . . . eventually it rang until I was disconnected. On angry call back I was told they didn't have a camera card in stock . . . although I later drove over and bought one. Pros: Price and variety Cons: Service and parking more

Avoid! No customer service! 3/8/2007

Fry's has to be the worst store near El Segundo business district. I don't mind the bad parking layout and the dark, dingy warehouse, but I couldnt' stand the customer service there. I tried to buy a camera last week (mar 07), asked the first sales person to check if they have the model I wanted in stock. After 20 minutes didn't hear from the guy again, I stroll around to the other side of the display to find him hiding chatting away with a female coworker. No big deal, I asked a second salesman to check if the item was in stock. After another 20 minutes wait, I saw this guy walking back to the camera display; this sales person had really short term memory spam, because he walked right pass me totally forgot to tell me if the camera was in stock or not and starting pushing merchandise to new customers behind me. I spent 40 minutes hanging out next to the camera display and was victimized by low IQ sales team from Fry's. Highly recomanded for those customers who have no life and who like to be treated like dirt. Pros: nothing Cons: bad parking, bad service, smelly store.... more

Great Prices, Great Selections 11/17/2006

I am a fan of Fry's. It is a great place to get low cost comptuer products and they offer weekly sales that can be found in the local papers. The Sepulveda location has a huge selction of computer products. I cannot think of a store that offers better deals than Fry's. Best Buy, CompUSA, and Cicuit City routinely charge more for similar item than Fry's does. more

Mindless Automaton treats its customers like dirt. Stay Away! 10/3/2006

I know it's hard to avoid going to Fry's, what with their enormous selection and low prices, but come on! They have absolutely NO respect for their customers and someone needs to take a stand. Example: I bought a $150 warranty for my laptop that I bought at Fry's. When the AC adaptor broke i took it to the Fry's service department. They insisted that the laptop had to be sent away to their service center for three months for repairs, even though it was clearly just the AC adaptor that was broken. I even showed them how when you used a different AC adaptor it worked fine. Despite this irrefutable evidence, they insisted the laptop had to be sent off. After two hours of arguing I relented. Pros: Get treated like a number! Talk to brick walls! Feel smarter! Cons: Like negotiating a Kafkaesque beauracracy more
