Val is a magician with my thin, fine hair! Before Val, I NEVER had a good haircut - in fact, I dreaded going to the salon. Over the last 20 years, I tried countless salons only to leave in tears hating my hair. Before Val, every stylist who worked on my hair made me feel ashamed and embarrassed about it (something that I have no control over) and always pointed out everything that was wrong with it. When I didn't like the hairstyle, they would say "you can't do much with your hair type". I hated going to salons because - in a society where a woman's hair defines her beauty - my hair always made me feel ugly. Out of desperation, I decided to drive two hours from my home to visit Val based on her reviews. SHE IS A LIFESAVER! When I found Val, I'd stopped getting my haircut entirely because I 'd given up hope of having my hair look good. From the moment I sat down, Val made sure I felt beautiful. She is first stylist who didn't embarrass me or point out all of my flaws. She made a point of making me feel comfortable and not judged. For the first time in my life, I left a hair salon LOVING my hair, loving the hair cut experience, and did not cry or put on a baseball cap as soon as I got in the car. I was so excited I called my husband as soon as I left to tell him how great I looked. He was in disbelief - he was so shocked that he even told the neighbors that he couldn't believe that I loved my hair!! From that point on, Val became my regular hairstylist. I NEVER thought this was possible, but my hair has become one of my best features thanks to Val!!! I've had countless strangers stop me literally on the street and all of my friends ask where I get my hair done. Valerie was my stylist many years ago, before she moved from NJ to PA. I was always very happy with the way she cut/styled my hair. Shortly before she left NJ, I started wearing wigs due to medical hair loss. I have been wearing wigs for over 10 years now and I know one of the secrets to a natural-looking wig is a great cut. I was able to find Valerie 18 months ago and contacted her about cutting my newest wig. She was a bit reluctant, since her experience with wigs was somewhat limited, as compared to her expertise and experience with cutting and styling. (that was the perfectionist in her talking!) I met Valerie about 5 months ago. I read all the wonderful reviews listed about FHTE (From here to Eternity) and decided to give it a try. Upon entering the salon, which is very warm and welcoming I absolultely felt comfortable and excited at the same time. Val immediately introduced herself and I knew right away I was in good hands. I asked for a make over and that is exactly what Val gave me. After being blond/ to dirty blonde most of my life I went to a complete transformation. At first I was a little hesitant but when I went home that evening my family said I looked amazing. Val showed me how to use all the products, to styling my new cut. I went to From Hair to Eternity after reading great reviews. I'm very meticulous with my hair and used to have the same hair stylist for years in my country, but since I moved to USA I didn't have encounter someone to trust my hair again. Since the salon is on the way to my college, I tried to walk in and ask for "help". They are not a walk in salon, but the owner and stylist was very welcome and truly showed interest in my hair. I have Asian, very thick, long and lots of hair! It can be very challenging, as she pointed out, and I really didn't know that until another salon simply destroyed my hair (using a razor). Valerie was very honest about the time consuming my haircut would demand and told me right away that the price would be around $125. My experience at this establishment has been absolutely wonderful!! the atmosphere is warm, comfortable & friendly. They are kind, caring, attentive & listen to your needs, & give you a professional & honest evaluation of what they believe would work best for you. When I first came to Valerie, I wanted to do certain things to my hair. I had been under a lot of stress these past few months so my hair was not in the best condition. I wish I could give Val 10 stars! I've only ever been to one stylist in my life, but after moving from NY to PA over a year ago, I had't gotten my hair done since. Loving my salon in NY, I was reluctant to go anywhere else, but also reluctant to travel. Over a year ago I decided I wanted short hair. The reason this idea was almost laughable was because I had long, frizzy, wavy, thick hair. So cutting it short would make me look like a poodle. I looked up permanent straightening online and was referred to From Hair To Eternity. I gave them a call, Val spoke to me about my hair and different options I had and encouraged me to come in and talk to her to draw up some plans. Two days later I walked into the shop with a huge frizzy CURLY, LONG mop, and walked out with a stylish, STRAIGHT, SHORT pixie. After cutting my hair, she did the relaxing process, then cut a little more and styled it. I've never felt so confident in my life. Wow. I started out today feeling ugly and ended up proud of my hair and completely relaxed. My hair had been poorly cut and colored by two different salons and I was left with baby fine, curly hair that was just a frizzy-fried, ruined mess. Nothing I did would make this mop look good. I went online to look at reviews and called Hair to Eternity. Val listened and gave me an immediate appointment - just 3 hours from the call. I was nervous. I am a man and have had a lot of difficulty finding a place that knows how to really listen to what I want and deliver at the same time. For that reason, I've just been shaving my head for the past couple of years. But, while visiting from New York, I decided to try From Hair to Eternity after reading a couple of reviews. Valerie took the time to tell me what she thought would be best for me after hearing what I basically wanted. I told her that I wanted something professional, but also something for when I go out. She did an excellent job giving me a haircut that could be styled in different ways depending on the situation. Aside from the great job on my hair, it is a nice environment with friendly employees. I have had the pleasure of going to see Valerie ever since I moved to the area. She is absolutely fabulous and professional in every aspect of her work. Not only is she meticulous with her cuts and styling, but she takes time to talk with you every time about exactly what you envision and want for your hair, instead of some stylists who try to project their ideas onto you. After searching the internet reviews for a high quality salon in the Lehigh Valley, I came across this website. I went to the salon with an open mind, and a basic idea of what I wanted my hair to look like. I had been to two different stylists in the previous two months. Both had told me that I could not achieve the look I was going for, due to all the color I had done to it over the past year. When I went to Val, she asked me what I wanted my hair to look like, and she told me what she thought would look best. She also took into account what would not work for me. Together we came up with a style and color. She was very straightforward and told me that I may not have the exact color I wanted, but she promised to do the best she could. I had been going to another salon for the past 4 years. I wanted a new hair style, and this person was not listening to me as to what I wanted. I searched the web looking for somebody that had a certain product that I thought gave me the best color. I saw Valerie's shop had it, and I read her reviews. They sounded good, so I thought I would try it. Valerie not only gave me exactly the cut I was looking for, but she used other products on my hair that gave me the best color I have ever had. I was looking for someone who does highlights and found myself on Hair to Eternity's website. I read the comments that others had left and decided to give Valerie a try. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my highlights and cut that she gave me. My husband even said that my hair looked great and that it's the best haircut that I have ever had. That meant a lot since he usually doesn't notice my hair. The products that Valerie introduced me to are fantastic! I have very thick, dry hair and after using these products , it is silky smooth. I moved back to the Lehigh Valley a year ago, and was very apprehensive about getting my long hair cut, so I went without one for a year! I was long overdue so I visited many sites including this one and read reviews for weeks to make sure that I would be taken care of. I ended up being almost an hour late due to the unprecedented traffic that came from the chemical spill in Wind Gap. I was her last client, and she patiently waited. I have been going to Valerie since she opened her Salon and have always been thrilled with the work that she has done. I feel Valerie's real expertise is in color - helping you to choose the right color for your skin tone, etc.. I always enjoy leaving the Salon with a "new look". However, she is also very good at maintaining the cut or color you have . As a matter of fact, my husband and two daughters go to Valerie as well. My youngest daughter (18 yrs. old) just had Valerie remove a bad color job from her hair and is very pleased with the results. By the way, the work wasn't originally done by Valerie.
