THE MOST FUN!!! 1/13/2009

Frolic is a friendly, local, corner bar. They have live music usually 2 times a month, fund raisers to help others in need, pool, darts, juke box, lots of TV's and a really fun crowd to be around. I agree, the bathrooms are really clean. I think the bartenders, that I've met, are very friendly, always smiling and up for conversation or a few laughs, and the service is good! Go with an open mind because you might get roped into a lot of FUN! You never know what or who will be there! Pros: Down to earth people that are fun! Cons: Needs a bigger dance floor more

I disagree with the review that was made by barhoppr1. Im born and raised in Waukegan. The bar isnt special or fancy, its a regular local small cozy bar. You can get a BIG beer pitcher for about 5-6 bucks, big beer selection, and the burgers are H-U-G-E! Jimmy (the owner) is a really cool down to earth genuine guy. The bartenders are nice, they have great live bands about once or twice a month. Definately check it out! Pros: The food is very very filling at a very very low price! Cons: sometimes if the bar is busy , your drink order will take a lil bit longer than usual. more

Avoid!!! 1/8/2008

This bar is a dump. The bartenders have no clue what they are doing. I personally would like to see a male bartender once in a while. The owner only hires these trashy women that are dumb as a box of rocks. I think the owner should re-evaluate his employees. I used to go in on Sunday nights to see a male bartender that I thought was very nice and made great drinks. But, for some reason he is no longer there. Great Burgers, The Saturday Afternoon Atmosphere is Great 4/3/2007

I've eaten there a few times. The Friday Fish was very good but it seems there is alot of fried food and no other choise exept soup . The Burger and Onion Rings I had on Saturday Afternoon were great. Pros: You wont break the Bank and patrons are entertaining. Cons: its easy to loose track of time. more

Best Fish Fry in Lake County! 3/23/2007

This long time neighborhood bar has recently aquired new owners...and the changes are evident! From the updated and tasty menu to the remodeled bathrooms. (this bar has the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in) The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Great place to hang out with friends and co-workers. From beer to blended drinks...the friendly folks at the New Frolic Tavern and Grill will keep you coming back for more. Pros: Clean Place with Great Food and Friendly staff more

This bar has great food. The staff is friendly, and with the new ownership, this bar has made great improvements. There is a new cook, and his food is awesome. It's not the cleanest place in town, but it's a good place, for those of us that have been going there for many years. You get to catch up with old friends or meet new ones. more

Not the cleanest bar I have ever been to. But, the food is good. The bartenders are generally pretty friendly. They aren't too fancy on the import beers. However, they can make most of the higher end mixed drinks. The bloody mary's arent great. more

Far cry from a Lounge! 1/22/2006

This place resembles a washed down version of the Coyote Ugly bar more than any possible lounge on this planet. You better know your drinks because the bartender does not know how to make them. If you like import beers then forget about it coz though this place is painted with Corona posters the owner claims he never served them! This place is ok if you just want to have your beer and be on your way. Would not recommend taking colleagues there. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: No ambience , Staff is rude more
