Don't know where Alain T went but it couldn't have been Frobergs if he didn't see the huge signs posted at each fruit or vegetable with a price on it. Most price are less than wh...

Frobergs for this family of 6! 3/5/2007

I homeschool, and our kids love doing their math lessons at Frobergs, weighing the produce, converting, estimating, averaging. A very quiet, well stocked, amazingly fresh and inexpensive selection will delight you. Coming from California we miss the produce we were accustomed to, but have found a great compromise with this country store. The fried pies will send you over the edge, the pickles are exquisite, as is the salsa. The "sausage guy" always gets us, right when we walk in and the kids just can't wait to get a snack for the road when we're done shopping. Thank you Frobergs for donating to our daughter's softball team too! more

Pecan machine 2/11/2007

They have a machine that cracks pecans for us, charging 30 cents per pound. That's not bad if you have a bumper crop like we did this year, even if we have to clean them ourselves. I'm guessing it took about 45 minutes to get through 75 pounds. I should have brought a book, because there's only so much shopping LOL more

Yo Frobergs 7/16/2006

I have been to this store several times over the past 5 years and the experience remains the same. Great prices for FRESH stuff. I went there today and loaded up on tomatoes, squash, green beans and jalopenos and the bill came to 14 dollars and I mean I loaded up on tomatoes./ Great place, good p[rices @ $.95 for the red things etc. Pleaseant people, pleasent surroundings and a a good stretch for the US dollar. I will continue to go to this fine establisment. more

Best place in the Bay Area to Get Fresh Produce 6/9/2006

My boyfriend told me about Frobergs and it's truly the best place in the Bay Area to get Fresh Fruits and Veggies. The produce is high quality and there is a wide variety. Just make sure you get there earlier in the day since I did happen to go there late in the afternoon one day and the pickings were pretty slim. The prices cannot be beat. I've seen a significant reduction in my food bill because I can get veggies here at a much lower price than I can at any of the area stores. more

Fresh off the farm 8/17/2005

This is an outdoor market that sells all kinds of fruits and vegetables. They have sausage, too. Located off CR 190, you have to cross the tracks to enter the driveway; and you really have the whole country farm experience. They have really good specials on different items. You will definitely find something here. They have fresh pinto beans, which are delicious!! It is a fun way to buy fresh food and is even just a good weekend outing trip. more

Best Produce Store in Town! 6/22/2005

An excellent place to do any shopping for produce, whether it be vegetables, fruits, or canned items. It is a small, family-owned and operated business that caters to the needs of Alvin. The prices are incredibly LOW, and shopping there always cuts out about 15-20% of our monthly grocery bill. They have the freshest items in town, and many of them are grown locally on their property. They have many different types of seasonal items, as well as a large stock of year-round items. They recently rebuilt their store and made it a much nicer facility to shop in. more
