One day I was walking along the beach and I was approached by a teenager with a Bierhaus hat and T-shirt on. He handed me a flyer for the restaurant, so I said- Hey, why not?\r \r I wasn't expecting the turnout to be this incredible. The food was just outstanding!! I went with three of my friends and we all had amazing meals and deserts. Not to mention the beer selection is incredible, hence the "BEER House" aka Bierhaus. \r \r We are not even German nor Austrian and each of us enjoyed our meal incredibly. I would recommend this to my family, friends, and co-workers. \r \r If not for the flyer, I would have not been motivated to go here. So job well done all around! more

Clean and uncluttered restuarant. Our server Michael was extremely nice and helpful. Great beer next time I'm doing the Das Boot. Food OUTSTANDING. more

This was our first visit to Fritz & Franz Bierhaus, a party of 4. \r \r We were seated promptly, and our waiter, Michele, took our drink order. He is from Dusseldorf. He was very attentive for our entire meal.\r \r The ladies had wine, and the guys had bier (a wheat ale, and a dark variety), served in authentic glasses.\r \r My entree was the Pfeffersteak mit Bratkartoffein (rib eye) - peppercorn sauce roasted potatoes mixed greens salad ($24). It was cooked to order, and was very tasty and satisfying, as I expected.\r \r My wite had the Jaegerschnitzel hit Spatzle - sautéed pork scaloppini, bacon mushroom sauce ($22), which she enjoyed.\r \r Our dining mates also enjoyed their entrees.\r \r We enjoyed a coffee/ice cream dessert to top off the meal.\r \r We left very satisfied, and would return. more

We as a party of 8 had dinner Thurs. evening and were given the large round table in the back which was great for us. The service was prompt, courteous and helpful. We were all very happy with our dinner entre's and they included the special beef goulash, leberkase, Nurnberger sausage, and Vienna Schnitzel. All the sides were very good and appropriate. The beer list was excellent including numerous drafts and many bottles and sizes. We will certainly come back. We almost didn't go due to the "professional review" on the web site, but who ever heard of German potato salad with mayonnaise? Not my mother. more

I went there with a friend for lunch. He had the Schnitzel with Bratkartoffeln and I had the Leberkaesesemmel with potato salad. \r I don't know if they make the leberkaese in house or not but the flavor was pretty much what i expected. However, my slice was cut very uneven so it was overcooked (dry) on the thinner end. The potato salad was watery and had too much vinegar. If you'd like to try a good potato salad, go to emil's european sausage on hillsboro blvd.\r My friend's schnitzel was ok. A pounded breaded piece of pork should not cost 18 dollars though (a real wiener schnitzel made from veal would be closer to this price). The bratkartoffeln were just some fried slices of potatoes that came out dry and under-seasoned.\r \r On top of the mediocre food, the service was unfriendly and slow.\r \r I was very disappointed because I work in the area and hoped to find a good german restaurant for lunch. more

Living just couple blocks south of commercial I could not wait for the Bierhaus to open. Being from Austria I was pretty sick of all the wannabe german places in the neighborhood. I went with my entire family. We had porkshank; which was amazing. Side dishes were red cabbage and Spaetzle. My wife and my kids had the Schnitzel. My kids loved it. My son said that this is the only place besides my home in Austria where he will eat Schnitzel from now on. Before I ate there I was actually reading a review from a "German" on inside fort lauderdale, which made me rethink my visit. I am glad I went. As we (and the foody who wrote the review ) all know, the Schnitzel is a typical Austrian dish; not a german. I doubt anybody would eat Pizza in a french place! Anyway, whatever this guy wrote is a disgrace for food writers(Being in the hospitality industry for nore than 20 years I know food very well). I recommend this place. The atmosphere is very european. Maybe some writers should start writing about fast food first? more

If you want a Pork Schnitzal, you go to Edelweiss Deli Next Door. I wonder if they'll let me get a sandwich next door and come here to watch the games? more

One of the things I like about going out to eat is the feeling that you're being transported to a place far away from home. Fritz & Franz Bierhaus more than satisfies that need for me. The first time I walked into the place, it reminded me of a restaurant I ate in just outside of Salzburg, Austria. The atmosphere is only the beginning of this Bavarian adventure. My being from Italy makes me very critical of foods from other countries. Typical German fare always seemed very bland to me until I visited Austria and realized that the Austrians seem to take the best of the Italian and German dishes and create a unique blend of both.....The Bierhaus takes that blend to the next level and by the end of the evening you're smacking your lips with delight. I've eaten there twice so far and plan to go back regularly. The beer and wine complement the foods perfectly and the service could not be any better. I felt pampered on both occasions with a kind of old world charm and graciousness....My compliments to everyone involved in this great operation. They've only been open a very short time and so I can only imagine that this will become a gastronomical favorite for South Floridians.... more
