Love This School 1/3/2015

Gosh...we had our first class last night and my daughter LOVED the class. She played her guitar for the first time and she could tell the other kids had been playing for a while and that she could get better if she tried to keep playing. \r \r The teacher was very encouraging and helped her understand the basics. She got two books and was ready to show her Dad all about the assignment when we got home. I am so happy we decided to try guitar. All good so far. more

Great Experience 1/2/2015

We enrolled both of our kids for music lessons. This is a new experience for us and the staff made everything easy. From how the lessons would go, choosing a teacher and lesson time, never having to worry about books (the school provides them with your membership). The kids love their teachers and have shown improvement in the 2 months we have attended so far. more

Great Place To Take Music Lessons 9/21/2012

My teacher at the Frisco School of Music has introduced me to music and artists that I had never heard before and has broadened my knowledge and appreciation of music. I have learned more in a few months than I had learned in a year of study with a home piano teacher as there were no distractions and we could concentrate on the lessons. \r \r Lots of patience, and always a smile. more

Thank you Frisco School of Music! 8/29/2011

The Frisco School of Music is a great experience. I'm living proof of it, considering I've been here 5 years. In those 5 years I've had several teachers, and all they all had the same thing in common. Every teacher was compassionate and wanted the student to excel in music. No teacher of mine was ever strict or apathetic. They were all laid-back and helpful at telling you new ways to improve your playing and good at teaching you new techniques. My guitar lessons have effected my life in many other ways than just teaching me how to play guitar. Music is a great art that has helped my confidence. These lessons also helped me play the violin with much ease and establish a practice regimen. I also have a greater appreciation for music and started listening to it more. Lessons aren't just boring book work. Playing an instrument is actual fun and can get you involved in more things like a band, school music program. Teachers here could teach you some of your favorite tunes. My teacher is very good at both teaching and jamming on his guitar, and can teach and explain anything I need to learn with ease. Lessons also let you get more attention and help due to the low student to teacher ratio. The staff here is very friendly and the school even has good free Wi-Fi. I was here back when the school was called ""Music Conservatory of Texas"" and although the appearance and name of this place has changed, the quality and over all appeal of the institute remains great. This also isn't a chain like many other things are. It's a local business that deserves to be supported as much the quality it radiates. I don't think I'll be leaving soon, now that I think about it. All in all, the Frisco School of Music has been a pleasure, and I'll never regret coming here almost every week. Who knows, you could end up winning a free iPad like I did! more

Love FSM! 8/3/2011

Music expresses your emotion and how you feel mixed with a piece of fine art. When you feel sad then you play a happy song and feel better. Music Lessons have taught me how to do that, and how I can express my feelings or relationship with music. They make that connection . They have started my relationship with music. Thank you Frisco School of Music! more

Best Music School in the Area! 7/8/2011

I have been studying here since 2000 and it has been great studying with some of the musicians that teach here. All the new perspectives, inspiration and good times never end. This has helped bring out the creativity and passion that has changed my life! more

Thank You! 6/21/2011

I've been attending the Frisco School of Music since 2007 and my lessons have helped me become a member of the Prestonwood Choir which was very important to my goals. My teachers guidance has also helped me regain much of my original range which I thought was lost forever. I believe that the teaching style, counseling, and positive demeanor of my teacher has provided the encouragement that prepared me to sing at my Dad's funeral last year, a very important and defining moment in my life. I have been given a renewed joy in music and the ability to submerse myself in the texture and depths of this art. Music is, once again, a mainstay in my life. Along with the learning experience I have found, I have discovered an environment of friends that I treasure. My thanks to all of you. more

There are plenty of great music schools in Dallas, Frisco, and Plano plus numerous independent teachers that do in-home lessons. Find one of them first. Friends of ours had a bad experience with this school. All of the bad experience reviews we've read on the internet agree 100% with what happened to our friends. This place is business first, customers dead last. more

Get the word out! 1/10/2011

I loved the warmth and joy that I see between teachers and students. We feel we are getting the ?top of the line?. The staff provides us with great service and I don't even have to find music books as the school has a materials account, so they get the books for me. Each year we see a huge improvement in our children?s musical abilities. more

Kids are learning from real musicians! 1/9/2011

We looked into several possibilities around town, and decided to go with a neighbor's recommendation, which was for Frisco School of Music. We have two Frisco School of Music teachers for two of our children, one for violin and one for piano, and our teachers are both reliable, energetic and knowledgeable. Both kids look forward to their lessons each week, and when they're not running off to sports or doing homework they actually play their instruments on their own, which I love! These guys are professional, but not stuffy, and know their instruments inside and out. I should also mention all the help the front staff have been. They keep us informed of all the upcoming events and get music books for us so we don't have to. Good work! more

Very Pleased 10/19/2010

I just recently enrolled my son for private piano lessons at the Frisco School of Music. I was very impressed with the staff at the school. They answered all of my questions regarding a variety of music lessons and what they offered, with questions regarding my son's interests and level of ability and where to start him in order to build a musical foundation that he will be able to grow upon. His personal teacher is very knowledgeable and very patient with my son who is 6. I can't say enough about this place! more

Increase Confidence and discipline 10/4/2010

I have to thank the Frisco School of Music for all they have done for us. \r \r Music has given our children self-confidence. It has also given them self-discipline at home and in school, especially in their schoolwork. \r \r I have seen such a change in their attitudes over the last few years and really appreciate the hard work the teachers and staff put in. more

Excellent! 10/1/2010

I have my two kids enrolled in the Frisco School of Music and after trying other schools in the area that claim that they offer benefits the other don?t, it?s finally the Frisco School of Music who has been able to make a difference on the progress that my kids are making. All the teachers have an excellent background and the facility is incredible. My kids can finally play all the music they have always wanted to play! Thank you Frisco School of Music. more

Money Hungry... Watch Out 9/30/2010

Be warned the so called ""Material Account"" Keeps charging you even if you don't need materials and if you decide not to continue lessons I suggest you block them from being able to auto-draft on your account... be cause trust me they will and they will make up any excuse to not correct their errors. It's sad the actual music teachers are quite nice but the company could care less about it's patrons. Awful. more

Found The Right Place 9/28/2010

My kids have been coming to the Frisco School of Music for a couple years now. You know you've found the right school when your kids look forward to their music lessons and always leave with a great feeling of accomplishment. Just wanted to thank everyone at the school for all their time and efforts. more

DayRockerZ 9/26/2010

I want to thank the Frisco School of Music for all their time and effort.\r \r Our son knew how to play but wanted to play with other kids in a band environment.\r \r The teachers were such a help, he soaked up every comment and instruction they gave him. \r \r I was amazed that he would come home from the camp and spend the next two hours practicing what he learned.\r \r He just loves the band series. What he has learned from this experience will last him a lifetime. \r \r The concert was fantastic. It was amazing to see all the kids performed with ease and confidence. \r \r It was a great opportunity for the kids to show their parents and friends their talents and their progress. more
