overpriced mexican food!! Yor better off going to El Torito. Watch hot for the habanero relish. HOT!! Pros: parking, mariachi Cons: price

Sunday Brunch WAY TOO LOUD!! Too expensive. Terrible food. 4/18/2011

I went there for sunday brunch April 17th. I've been to many brunches that costs range from $20 to $30, that includes champagne. The cost of brunch here was $28 but an extra $12 for the champagne, so your actually paying over $40 for the brunch. Very small selection of food and the deserts were disgusting. I saw no salads and the fruits were dry and hard. The Mariaches played right at our backs and we could not have a conversation. Except for the handmade tacos and sopes everything else was not very good. tasted like leftovers to me. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the brunch. I give it a big thumbs down. more

Mediocre Service, Mediocre Food 6/18/2009

Simply put: it's bad. We've been 3 times, which is 2 times too many. There aren't many cool places in Glendale, so I guess we kept hoping it would be good. But this last time I actually found a chunk of glass in my mouth from the margarita. I informed the waitress and she unapologetically got the manager. He came over, apologized robotically, and offered us dessert... for a chunk of glass in my mouth! He did offer me another drink, but seeing as he couldn't guarantee no glass in the other drink, I turned it down. When the bill arrived, he had comped the dessert, but the drink was still on the bill. We asked the waitress if we were really being charged for the drink and the manager then took that off as well. Pros: Cool design of interiors/patio Cons: Bad food and bad service more

OK food, but fun atmosphere! 3/18/2009

I had the best time when I sat at the bar ordering appetizers and drinks. It's very festive, and the layout is such that the bar is half in, half outside. So, you get a type of exposed feeling (not claustrophic) in the bar. Don't look for the best or authentic Mexican food, but it's fun. Pros: Great margaritas, nice setup of the restaurant Cons: Food is average more

Chintzy Wine Pours, Slow Service, Overpriced Food 12/20/2008

We went here with my sister and her family who were visiting from out of town for our holiday dinner. The bartender's pour of her $10 glass of wine was short, so we complained. Our waiter -- who was lovely -- had the bartender give her a touch more. When she ordered her second glass (she dropped to the $8 glass as why should we pay $10 for a thimble full of wine!), we asked for a better pour. The MANAGER came to our table after the wine was delivered and patronizingly told her that they try to get four glasses of wine per bottle, blah blah blah. We eat out A LOT and drink wine A LOT and know what a pour should be. Essentially, my sister felt harangued, embarrassed and unwelcome. We could NOT believe that a manager of such a beautiful and well established restaurant would be so chintzy with pours and be so petty as to interrupt our dinner and make my sister feel miserable. It set an unfortunate and certainly not jolly tone for our holiday dinner. To add insult to injury, her husband's meal came after we were all finished -- amazing what an extra ounce or two of wine would have done to foster good will at our table. Instead, we will never eat here again. For reference, we spent $200 tonight and $100 here last week. Not again!!! Pros: Beautiful setting Cons: Slow service, not customer-service oriented more

honest review. 11/13/2008

I will be extremely honest here. I went there for our 5 month anniversary. I tend to be around the Glendale area a lot and have been to almost all restaurants there. So we went there on a Thursday night around 7:30pm. I don't know if they were under staffed or what but we didn?t get a hostess to talk to us till 5 minutes later. We sat at the bar while we waited for our number to be called. 25 minutes later and to drinks after, they call our #. We sat there and ordered some appetizers. 25 minutes later, we got our $8.00+ 5 taquitos. I am not lying when I tell you they were over cooked. My partner was so upset because here, we are getting a buzz already and have been there for almost an hr and we have drank by this time 3 drinks each, we are hungry and sick of the chips and 3 types of salsa and there we have 5 burned tacos. We call the waiter back and they apologized. 10 minutes later they bring us our appetizers. Then finally, about 25 minutes later we finally get our food. I was so upset with the presentation and the quality of the food. I love Mexican food. But this food was not good at all. I COUDLNT BELIEVE EITHER THE CHEF OR THE WAITER PRESSED DOWN ON THE BEANS, YOU CAN SEE THEIR 3 FINGER PRINTS ON THE BEANS. We got a small bowl of cold rice and chicken was just not hot at all either. It seems like that had been on the warmer while they prepared my partner's plate since he ordered fish. The food was just not good at all. We called the waiter and said she didn?t know how hand prints would be on the beans. They asked to bring us another plate but we would have to wait another 30-40 minutes. WE COULDNT TAKE IT ANYMORE. We paid the 85.00 and just left. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK. The drinks I will admit were good ""depending on the bartender."" I just won't go back. Pros: Nice location. Beautiful inside and outside court. Cons: Overpriced. Not great quality of food. NEED MORE WAITERS/SERVERS. more
