French Roast Cafe

Not your tipical vietnamese restaurant. The decor is more like a casual French bistro. Serves french and vietnamese food. The only place serving Pho (Vietnamese noodles) after the demise of Pho Van. Taste-wise was pretty good, but had to wait 45 minutes (!). Went again, and sarcastically told the same waiter: I hope we don't have to wait 45 minutes today. He answered: no, not 45 minutes, but 1 hour and 15 minutes! At least he was sincere. more

Upon entering the restaurant, we were taken aback by the awful decor and a menu that definitely did not promote any fusion. After waiting for more than 15 minutes for water and brick-hard bread, we ordered our entrees and were subjected to an additional 45 minutes waiting for our bland salads. An hour later, after still not receiving our entrees and watching other tables be seated and served, we were fed up. As none of us were hungry anymore, we cancelled our order and left the restaurant. From the taste of the bread, salad, and tepid coffee we had to order to keep ourselves awake, I would NEVER recommend the restaurant to anyone in search of a great meal. The service was disgraceful, the food--tasteless, and the decor--atrocious. Don't waste your time or money here! Cons: bad service, bad food, bad environment more
