Honest, reliable and provides great service! 8/15/2010

I took my previous car (1986 Mazda) and take my current car (2001 VW) to Steve and Rick. I have gone to them for more than 12 years. They have over the years, done routine oil and filter changes to any major repairs as necessary. Steve is honest and lets you know upfront the costs before working on the car. Steve Jabourian (owner) provides excellent service and I have recommend him to friends who have since gone there too! Steve is “spot on”, on diagnosing my car problems and fixing it in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Fremont & Purdon to anyone interested in taking their car to someone honest and reliable. more

Reliable auto repair service 5/20/2010

I first had contact with Fremont & Purdon in 1992 when my wife's car was towed to the shop per the recommendation of AAA driver. The final cost was less than the estimate for repair. I have found Steve to be an honest person to deal with. I have recommended F&P to all of my friends and family members. more

Best Automobile Repair 4/6/2010

Fremont & Purdon issimply the best, the most trustworthy automobile repair shop in Pasadena. They find out the problem, tell you and give you estimate and will not work on car until you give them your authorization. Whether it's a routine car service or more extensive work, they are the most professional people in the business. more

Best Mechanics/Honest 4/1/2010

I have a 1980 Toyota Corrolla --it's OLD! And Steve manages to keep it going strong.They can do everything --from water pumps , smog repair, radiators, catalytic converters, mufflers, trans work, tires, tune-ups, engine work, brakes, etc.,etc.You name it and they can fix it. I have taken my car to other places prior and now I have been with them for approx.12 to 15 years or more and won't change ever. Steve J.(owner/manager) will give you a fair quote and always seems to know what is exactly wrong with your car. A perfect diagnostician! Wouldn't go anywhere else 3/29/2010

I've been having my cars repaired and serviced at Fremont and Purdon since the 1980s. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've found them to be friendly, honest, efficient and knowledgeable. I have great peace of mind knowing that they're there when I need them. Give them a try -- you won't regret it. more

Reliable and Friendly Mechanic 3/11/2010

I have been bringing my 21-year-old car to Fremont & Purdon for several years, starting when I was living in LA. They are very patient at explaining things and don't try to sell you what you don't need. The place is clean with no porn on the shop walls, making it more comfortable for women to go there. They are able to find what is wrong with the car when other places sometimes can't and they go the extra mile to take care of their customers. I recommend them if you're in the area and looking for a reliable mechanic. more

This is definitely an auto place where they are NOT going to rip you off. They've been in business for a really long time and their estimates are very realistic. Service is great and they'll even give you a ride or a free loner car if you need it. Two thumbs up for sure. more

Good service & reasonable prices 2/17/2010

I've been taking my truck to Steve at Fremont&Purdon for a dozen years. 1997Ford Explorer 100k miles. Just got it after some major fixes and am, once again, completely satisfied. Hope/expect to get another 100k with Steve's help. russell more

Stand up shop! 2/16/2010

Fremont was a referral from a friend in the area. My car broke down in Pasadena, I'm new in the area. My friend takes her car there and I had my Honda towed in. Steve was the guy who took care of me. I left my car and in 1 1/2 hour they diagnosed it and returned my car back to me to go home. I price checked them and they were very fair and explained to me what failed and why. That is all I can ask as a women. Thank you Steve more

Saved me time and money! 9/21/2005

After reading a review of this establishment, I took my car in and was just thrilled. They were prompt, thorough and very reasonable. I was able to save myself a trip to the dealership in Van Nuys after their diagnosis. It hardly cost me more than the gas would have to get their opinion. And, silly though it may seem, I really liked the waiting room. My kids were able to sit and have a drink of water- very pleasant compared to some places we've been over the years. more

Trustworthy mechanic 8/11/2005

This mechanic services all makes and models of cars, and usually takes cars without appointments. As a single woman dealing with her own car problems, I have been thrilled with their honesty and willingness to explain problems and all my options without ever making me feel pressured to carry out any work that I am unsure of. They offer AAA discounts, and I have referred many friends to them who have also been quite happy. more
