Freaks on Noland

For my first tattoo, I wanted someone I could definitely rely on for good work. Lacie did my tattoo at Freaks on Noland, and she was picture perfect. My tattoo comes from the Harry Potter series, and she was genuinely excited about doing it. She asked if it was okay that she specifically did it, because she really loved the idea. Lacie was so great; she listened to exactly what I wanted, even though it meant completely redoing my design when I got to the shop. I was so pleased with my experience. The whole place was very clean, very comfortable, and everyone was spectacular. more

This was my second tattoo. Walked in on a Saturday night at 8 pm hoping they had an opening! I met with the artist Lacie, she drew up what I explained to her! Took her time also! Came back and showed me and LOVED IT! Its a pretty simple tattoo but she made it amazing! Total wait time with no appt. was about 30-45 mins. She brought me back and did it in about 15 mins! The place was clean, she let my husband and a friend come back with me. She talked me threw the whole thing telling me what she was doing and where it may hurt worse. Which I really liked. She just made it a very comfortable and fun experiance! I will be going back to her! Amazing work!!! more

A couple of friends and I have come in the past few years for an annual tat trip. My first time here was for my first tat. It was to commemorate the fact that I had completed my first mission trip just 6 months after major surgery. There was a Bible verse as a part of the tat. The actual tat is gorgeous, but the verse is a mess. I'm embarrassed by it. We went again a few weeks ago. There were 4 of us who had been given the 2:00 until we were finished time slot. There were 2 artists; one who had made the appointment and met with one of our ladies. My friend's tat was pretty extensive so the rest of us knew we'd probably just have the one guy do ours. When I came in, i told the receptionist that I wanted a tat. He said I had to wait, there was a group ahead of me. I told him I was part of that group. He left me, went back to the artists, then came back and had me fill out the paperwork. Meantime, another gal came in after me, and was told the same thing. They told her to come back at 3:45. Nobody ever looked at my design, and I was back there for several hours. Finally, at 5:00, it was my turn, or so I thought. Instead, he took the gal who came in after me. I said, "Wait a minute. I'm next." He argued with me that he had already promised her the next appointment. I reminded him that I was with the group who had the 4 tats from 2:00 on, and he said he knew nothing about that so he didn't have to do mine next. At this point, I realized that even if I won my argument, he would most likely butcher my tat just to get even with me. I had even asked him how much it would cost to fix my other mistake, and he told me to just live with it; he wasn't touching it. My tat was supposed to be very meaningful; a celebration of my husband's life after surviving a near fatal brain tumor. Instead, it turned into an ugly experience, with the mother of the gal who came in after me calling me a name and telling me I was ruining a special event. I turned around to leave, and the artist came out and screamed at me, "Get out of my establishment." Pros: Comfortable benches, decent rooms Cons: Rude artists, inefficient office help, shoddy work more

I went there to get my first tattoo, it is my daughters name on my ankle. The lines are not smooth, they are almost jagged in some areas and its still raised and itchy, IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS!! Im not sure if I just had a bad artist or what but I probably wont go back :( more

This is where I have gotten 2 Tattoos, & 2 piercings. The owner is an awsome artist & will do every thing possible to get the design perfect for you. His staff are very professional & take excellent care of you. They are reasonably priced as well. You can bring in your own design or choose from 100's of theirs. Either way you will love this place just as much as I do. I will be going back time & time again. You GUYS & GALS ARE EXCELLENT! more

I LOVE FREAKS ON NOLAND THEY HAVE REASONABLE PRICES ON JEWERLY AND I GOT MY NOSE PIERCED THERE AND FISH IS A GREAT GUY. Pros: EVERYTHING!!! Cons: NONE more

Ok, here is the Deal. I took My girlfriend and her best friend up to Freaks on Noland Rd. to get a in memory tat of her Mother who died in a car accident about 8 months ago. There was a line so we waited out turn filed out the forms and finally they sat together to get the tats which were supposed to be exactly the same.( I know it is impossible to get 2 tattoos to look exactly the same even if the same artist is doing it). But they had two different artist do it which is fine but they both Royally Effed them both up. The Scar tissue on my girlfriends leg is so bad that it may never heal good enough for her to even think about getting the tattoo fixed correctly. The other one looked a little better but the lines where choppy and definitely not of a steady hand. more
