Joan not only is just a nice person with a great sense of humor but a very special therapist. She has superior listening skills so while you waste time reviewing with other therapists/counselors you do not with Joan. Instead all of your time allows you to get stuff off your chest or practice skills in her office...you get right down to the work.\r
She is kind and loving when you need it but can be tough too when you also need someone to be honest with you. So you do really change when working with her! Her understanding of people plus all the many skills or tools she has in her toolbox is endless. I was amazed at her ability to reach so many different types of people. \r
Me, personally, well she did one small feat, she saved my life! She saw through the pain i kept hidden deep down inside me where other counselors did not and oftens still do not. I will always be greatful that she saw that hidden pain and helped me to bring it to the surface and learn to deal with it. thank you ever so much Joan, with all my heart!!
Pros: Parking is normally easy. She had great coffee/tea while waiting oh nice music too
Cons: She is getting too many patients so rather busy...just keep trying to get in to her if others do not work
