** my cannelloni was cold inside which is dangerous when chicken is involved. They made a new dish up and I had to wait 30 minutes while I watched my husband eat. Then when I was finally served my husband had to watch me eat. Not an enjoyable event. The waitress stayed away from us and did not offer us anything and didn't offer refills, bread, a complementary appetizer or dessert. I saw that she stood by and talked to her coworkers and even sent another coworker over to collect our bill. We will never go back and I'll pass this info on to others as I see over 150 customers a day that I refer to restaurants in this area. It's sad because they catered our wedding over 14 years ago and now the service is terrible. more

Frankies is awesome! I have ate there hundreds of times over 20+ years, most recently last week.\r \r They have always been awesome, it is one of the few restaurants where I have always been happy with everything! more

Refreshingly delicious 11/11/2011

I love this place. They have the best pizza, and when we get the warm breadsticks (with marinara and a bit of the cream sauce to mix together) to dip in.....ahhhh, slice of Italian heaven. One of my favorite pizzas is the Passion Pizza of Verona - pine nuts on pizza - wasn't sure, but was delicous. Love to go hear on special occasions. And, if you get the chance to meet Frankie - his is one of the most genuine guys in the world, and it is nice to see ownership that cares about their employees and communities! Thanks Frankies for being a great slice of our community! more

neighborhood pizza & pasta joint with nothing special 6/15/2010

Our friend took us here after our Cirque Du Soleil show at Marymoor. She is has been here many times and said the food here was good and she comes back for the bread sticks. Our experience did not meet expectations. They were pretty busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes since they don't take reservations unless your party is larger than 6. The staff was friend and attentive. We had the option to be seated inside or on the patio. We chose the patio since it was a nice day out and it was loud inside due to the abundance of kids. One waitress took our drink orders and another did the food. Everything we timely and came out hot. The quality of the food was not so great. They started us off with complimentary bread sticks that were a little overdone since the end pieces were a little hard. The calzone Veneto was pretty big but mostly dough. The filling was not even as the veggies were near the crust and the mean and cheese were in the center. I was never able to get a bite of everything. My wife had the cannelloni and the pasta was tough and the filling was made of a ricotta and chicken (dark meat) chunks. Almost like cheesy meatballs. The prices were average to pricey. The calzone was $12 and the cannelloni was $12.50. However, we did stay and chat for almost 3 hours and since they weren't busy any more, they left us alone outside. Very much a neighborhood pasta joint with nothing special. I personally will be looking for other places to eat next time. more

Busy Place 3/19/2010

Went there for pizza. Although the pizza is pretty good the wait, price, and service was really not the best. Also not a lot of parking. Went there on a Thursday night. Weekends must be crazy! Pros: Good Pizza Cons: Not a lot of seating, busy, slower service, and pricey more

If you order spaghetti... 1/4/2010

I often measure a restaurant's quality by the care they put into the simplest dishes. An Italian restaurant should be able to produce great spaghetti. At Frankie's my spaghetti was served undrained, creating about a one-fourth cup pool of water on the plate and of course, greatly diluting the sauce. yuuk. Our server wasn't attentive and didn't check back. I managed to drain the water to one side by propping up the other side of the plate on my knife handle. Still, not good. When the server presented the check (!) she noticed the water and said they must have gotten in a hurry in the kitchen. She offered dessert when she should have removed the dinner charge. It didn't leave us with a very good feeling about dining there again. Pros: Decent inexpensive wine Cons: see review more

Best Pizza in Maple Valley, Covington, Kent Area 9/4/2009

I'm a big fan of pizza and I've eaten just about every pizza joint in King County. By far, Frankie's Pizza tops my list along with Pagliacci Pizza. They do sell pizza by the slice from 11-2 but the variety is just not there and tends to get old from sitting there to long. I like pizza that is hot and fresh. Overall, I give a high rating to their pizza's..because it's really really good. I'd would eat there more often if the prices weren't so high, compared to other local pizza joints, that's the only con. Pros: AWESOME PIZZA Cons: I wish there was more coupons more

Awesome service, best food, great price! 5/13/2008

I order catering, set up, and tear down for business events. When I ordered from Frankie's on 5/13/08, they were here on time and the food was preserved so that it stayed hot hours after delivery. I've had lots of experience with other caterers.... I highly recommend Frankie's. TASTY! The whole group loved it. They were also correct about the amount of food needed for the number of guests we were expecting. They have large portions, so order accordingly. more

BEST OF THE BEST!! 4/8/2008

I have been going to Frankie's for over 10 years and can't say enough good things about this place! The wait staff is always pleasant, the food is ALWAYS delicious and very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very classy. I have read the other reviews regarding the wait time on the weekends but will tell you that this restaurant is worth the wait! Over the years I have taken many family members and friends to this restaurant and I have never heard anything but good things. Just writing this review makes me want to run over and order up a Kona Coast pizza and some breadsticks with marinara sauce. Do yourself a favor and go visit Frankie! Pros: Food, service, and the ambience Cons: To my knowledge, there is only one location more

As close as it gets to my grandma's authentic Italian food 3/18/2008

At Frankie's you get plenty of delicious filling food for a very small price. It is a family friendly atmosphere, but it get's busy on weekend evenings. Pros: like real homemade Italian food more

Best pizza in Seattle area 11/20/2007

I've been going to Frankie's for over ten years and have never been disappointed. Frankie is a really nice guy as well and always seems to be around to make sure everything is in order. Pros: Best pizza in town Cons: Don't go on a Friday night! Too crowded! more

We love Frankies! 9/24/2007

We have been going to Frankies for years now. It is by far the best of it's kind around. My favorite is the greek salad with the Italian sausage bake. The wine list is impressive. And Frankie is always around making sure everyone is happy (we always are!) Don't let the wait bother you on a busy Friday night. Have a nice glass of wine while you wait for your table. more
