FRANKEE IS SUPER FUN!!! The shop is beautiful and always interesting. Various interesting people (friends and neighbors) stop by randomly to chat with Frankee. Frankee is very warm and provoides her clients with amazing hospitality!!! My hair looks and feels better than it has in years!!! Thanx!!! She has independently started this salon--I strongly suggest letting her give your hair some lovin' and support the independent local businesswoman!!! More Than A Woman To Me... 5/28/2006

Yeah baby, she's got it... Hairdresser on fire... Ya 'all get the vibe yet? I just started seeing Frankee recently. I guess it's been three or four x's now. She has totally impressed me. Not only did she move from Pac Heights to Divisadero Quarter(Bold), she opened this new salon(on her own). She does a fantasic job on my hair. Color and cut...but she has these parties(yes, that's right) that are really different from these other places I have tried. The parties support an artist, some sort of performance piece(this time it was burlesque, last: bellydancing) and everyone had enough food and wine to take a cab home(which she loudly encouraged at the end). She doesn't promise magic(realistic)...although the next performer she has at the party just might. Pros: Great Hair Education, Realistic Approach, Personable(important) Cons: no Sunday hours more

Fabulouso 5/23/2006

I arrived at Frankees shop with multiple layers and some very faded highlights. I have decided to grow out my hair and really just wanted to trim off the split ends and get some new color put in. We talked about the color i wanted (platinum blonde, I'v always been one for dramatic change) and then a color that was a bit more subtle i.e probably not going to give my friends and family a heart attack (sun kissed highlights.) The results were fabulous and I get compliments on my hair on a regular basis. She was also great about answering questions I had about the products she used on my hair and suggesting things without putting preassure on me to buy. Great Service! 5/12/2006

I got a recommendation to go check out Frankee's salon because she just moved to this great location by my house. I checked her out online and figured- why not? I arrived at the shop and Frankee was bubbly and fun. She offered me a glass of wine, which made my bad day look a bit brighter. I got a great haircut and the best highlights ever. NEW AND IMPROVED, Awesome Highlights! 5/12/2006

I have been going to Frankee for awhile. She is fun and friendly- and is as supportive as any good friend would be. She convinced me to change my look. I had been so happy with the color and cut she had been giving me- I was reluctant. I know she isn't a magician- but I look like a new person. New and improved. I went to Frankee based on City Search reviews and was dissapointed. Let me first say that I did not get a bad haircut from her, she did an allright job and she is also very nice. Before Frankee I had been going to Oxenrose, where you get a decent haricut at a decent price. I went to Frankee looking for a really great hairdresser, one I want to keep going to and recommend to everyone and I was willing to pay a bit more for this. But my haircut was no better than the cuts I had been getting at Oxenrose, and it cost $25 more. And, to be completely honest, I think I liked my last cut from Sandy better. I won't be going back, but not because Frankee is a bad haridresser, more because she is not what I'm looking for: a fabulously wonderful hairdresser. San Francisco Treat 2/26/2006

Since I was from out of town, I contacted Frankie based on the reviews I read about her on City Search. Not only was she extremely personable, but she listened to what I wanted and she gave me a professional opinion based on my hair type, my face shape, and my low maintainence lifestyle. I couldn't have been happier with the cut she gave me. She also walked me through how to style my hair and what products would be good to use without pressuring me to buy. Frankie is truly a gifted stylist, and I'll definitely have to schedule another trip to SF to see her! more

Love the 'do, love the new space 1/31/2006

Frankee moved in to her new digs and I love it! My hair of course looked great, but the experience was better than ever. She was able to smooth the kinks out of the technical issues with that credit card machine- like the pro she is, she offered to give me a free service because of my hassle. Frankee has time and time agian recreated a duex to suit my ever changing needs....a girl needs this in a hair-dresser. Sometimes I want to feel spohisticated, sometimes saucy, and sometimes like the scientist that I am....Frankee can do it all. I usually just tell her to do what she wants, I totally trust her in that I know I will walk out looking great. Complete strangers have always complimented me on my cut and color...Thank you Frankee! Curly Girl- Happy to be Curly Again! 11/24/2005

I went to Frankee on a friend's recommendation. I have extremely curly hair and have been straightening it for two years now, everyday, which is very time consuming. Frankee cut and styled my hair, taking a risk with my reluctance, curly again. After being a fake straight for so long it was a shock to see how great my hair looked curly. She encouraged me that texture is in, "just look in any magazine", so I listened. She also suggested a book called Curly Girl for me to read to learn how to care for my hair. Not washing everyday and conditioning is helping my hair get healthy and look good. Frankee is down to earth and approachable, just what I was looking for in a stylist. I'll be open to new ideas in the future because of this experience- sometimes it takes an outside perspective to try something new! The cut and color she gave me was stylish, sophisticated and a bit edgy, yet still very feminine and tailored to complement my individual features. She really listened and gave feedback, but ultimately did what we agreed upon. Her skill level is high and that allows her more versatility. My cut was just above the shoulders with some layering. I have dark brown hair and she gave me fabulous golden highlights (no red). She is unpretentious and considerate of her client's needs. I have been to the best salons in Manhattan and speaking comparatively her prices are a bargain for the level of quality she delivers. I found her on city-search and choose her because her reviews were all positive and very articulate. Also, she is listed as a stylist, not a salon, so all of the reviews are directly reflective of her clients experiences. Pros: She listens., Great Cut and Color., Easy to get an appt. more

Amazed at the results! 5/18/2005

I went to Frankee for the first time for a partial highlight and a cut. I left the salon amazed at not only my great hair, but what fun I had with her. What an attitude adjustment for me! She got me in for her latest evening appointment and made it fun to sit in a chair for a few hours and relax, after a long day. My highlights look sun kissed, and my cut, updated from the old "cookie cutter" look I had been getting. Cooler thing- I think she is the only individual listed( that I could find anyway). Everybody loved it 5/12/2005

All of my friends and family were amazed with what Frankee did with my hair. I have never gotten so many compliments before, even from people who didn't know I changed it! My hair was dryed out, drab and lifeless. Now the color looks so good and the cut is french, fun and easy to manage. Also, the treatments she recommended for me at home have made a world of difference. She knows her stuff. I can't go to anybody else now- I love this girl, she was so cool. Cool Color and cut. 5/12/2005

I got a recomendation from my boyfriend and read the reviews on city search so I decided to check Frankee out for myself. She Rocked! I loved the multiple colors, and my highlights were great! Color job not so great 5/4/2005

After 3 weeks of going to see Frankee for color, big roots on the top (part and crown) appeared. I have medium blonde hair so seeing roots is likely pretty soon, but they looked like 2 months worth of growth. Frankee used a toner which I think masked the fact that she didn't let the highlights on the crown and top of my head sit long enough. She started with the sides and worked her way up and she probably needed to let the top sit longer than the sides. It was an average job and it was pretty pricey so I don't think I'll go back. She was very professional and very nice though!! more

I actually found Frankee using SFcitysearch. I desparately needed a new look; fun, uptodate, and easy. Frankee seemed to really know exactly what I needed. She has given me perfect haircuts time and time again. She listens to what I want, and adds actual style to it. I am so happy that I found Frankee. She is also really personable so it makes the salon experience enjoyable. more

Great For Asian Hair! 2/3/2005

I went to Frankee for cut and color. I can't believe the fashionable look I walked out of the salon with. It fits my career as someone in high fashion retail- creative and stylish! How many bad cuts and crazy colors have you seen on the streets because people can't work with asian hair? Frankee has flair and an eye for color. Not only that but she listens and communicates- doing her best to meet my needs, even when I am a little difficult, which I can be at times. If you don't like what she is offering you must be high. Well, it has something to do with the women who have to look at them, then comment on their looks time after time. I was reluctant to spend more on my look but Frankee helped me out in this department. Just broke up with my girlfriend who was clear about how I should look and needed some girl input.
