I was 17...a senior in high school...and never expected to be diagnosed with cancer. But I was, with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It was the scariest thing I have ever heard in my life. Not to mention that I found out in a horrible way, from a surgeon with horrible bedside manner. But the moment I walked into the cancer center, I felt better. They basically became my family. The receptionists were ALWAYS friendly, and remembered me everytime I came in. Not to mention the lab techs, and the nurses. The Nurses were the ones who mentally saved me. I remember bawling and bawling because I was so scared and two of my favorites took me into an empty room and just held me. It was amazing, and probably the reason I am here today. I was diagnosed with Stage IV Esophageal Cancer. I had a tumor 4cm X 3cm in my esophagus. To make matters worse, I also had 4 lymph nodes, 1cm each in my lower back that were cancerous. This meant that the cancer was in my system and could pop up anywhere. The Radiation Oncologist gave me 6 months to 1 year to live. I had 10 sessions of radiology. My Medical Oncologist is Dr Avi Bar-Lev. Dr Bar-Lev told me either the chemo would kill me or the cancer would. In other words he was going to hit me hard with heavy doses of chemo, 6 hours in the chair. So here I am, 4 years and 3 months later, still alive. I went into partial remission within 3 months of diagnosis. The lymph nodes were gone, no longer on the CT scan. I went into complete remission within a year. I am currently on maintenance chemo, 2 hours in the chair, and all doses reduced to keep the cancer in check, for 2 weeks on, 1 week off. Why? Because this type of cancer, especially the lymph nodes is treatable, but not curable. No more

great Dr .. a family member from out of town needed a Chiropractic.. Called the Fox Valley Chiropractic and was able to get an appointment fast . no having to wait made things even better . Dr John Jenkins, was super we explained he situation and he made no reason to arupt us at all. he did some testing and x -rays . my friend was feeling better to know she was to get in to see a DR. she felt very comfortable with the DR.. in which was all taken care with - in the hour.. we were on opur way out in a short time // had no complaint from either if us .
