Dr. Fox did an excellent job of explaining my procedure prior to going in for emergency surgery. Once I was in recovery he took the time to call my family to update them on my status and answer their questions. During my 5 day stay at the hospital, Dr. Fox personally checked on me 1-2 times each day. He always gave me a clear update on my status and gave me time to ask all of my questions. At no time did I feel like he was in a hurry to move on to the next patient. Rather I felt as though I was his only priority. Follow up visits at his office were also pleasant. His staff members are efficient and caring. Additionally, They were very accommodating in creating a payment plan for me. more

I thought he had an excellent bed-side manner. He seemed to remember my issues, the details of my case, and was incredibly responsive in my follow-up care. At the time of my surgery, he patiently explained the complexities of my case, and even explained them to my significant other a second time, when questioned later. He is also very funny and warm. Dr. Fox has a good bedside manner but it's not genuine... if anything comes up he's in a big hurry to get out of the room and minimizes issues. The other thing is after getting his first bill I conctacted his accountant and didn't hear anything. I got another bill and tried to call her again... and again left a message that I would like to arrange a payment plan. She never returned my call. I got a bill saying I was ""30 days late"" so I called again and again never heard. Again I got a bill saying 60 days! She was trying to strong arm me to make a full payment for the full amount which I couldn't afford as a single mom. Finally I asked the staff to have Dr. Fox call me and they took care to make payment arrangments but I still get statements saying I'm 90 days when I've never missed a payment. Then after 6 months of payments they upped the amount they took from my credit card without notifying me or without my ok. Pros: I'm still alive after my surgery! Cons: His staff are pushy and mean. more

He is a rare find - a surgeon who is skilled and has a wonderful bedside manner. He treats you as a whole person instead of just a patient. He explains things clearly and does not rush around. more
