Fox Hole Pub

Today, Nov. 30th I my husband, son and new daughter-in-law chose to visit the Fox Hole. When walking up to the door, the first thing we noticed was a bench covered in bird droppings. That should have been our first clue as to what we were to find inside. We entered and there were no other customers, again we should have gotten a clue. The place looks run down, they had space heaters to warm the huge open floor plan.....so tacky. The waitress was nice but the choices on the menu are limited. I ordered the soup of the day (broccoli & cheese) or should I say, the paste of the day, along with sweet potato fries. I asked the waitress if she could bring me a small glass of milk to thin out the soup and was told they don't have any milk, a restaurant that has no milk? Once we had all eaten as much as we could and received the bill, it came to just over $60! Yes, that's right. Now my husband ordered fish and chips and it went for $13.99 but Sizzler has better ones and cheaper. My son ordered a hamburger and my daughter-in-law the salmon which was a very small portion considering what the bill came to. All in all, a very poor restaurant. The bar looks more like a Tiki bar with corregated steal panels with bamboo strips. Cement floors that really need redoing, and very tacky drawings of a fox in golfing attire in one picture and another fox driving a race car. Oh, and their Christmas tree was so sad, no skirt around the base and artificial just standing there looking so alone. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone nor will I and my husband be customers again. I am surprised that they are still in business. more

Yesterday was a hair ball work day for both my hubby and myself. We needed dinner for the family fast! We went to The Fox Hole around the corner from our house near Rite Aid and Ream's Grocery store. I was impressed! The quality of the food was surprising. The french fries and sweet potato fries are home made. The burger was even better; The patty was stuffed with jalapeno, bacon, and onion. This was one of the best burger and fries joints I have been to and it was very reasonable. You get a free kid meal on Tuesday night with a purchase of an adult entree. Our bill came to $11 for a family of four. They even had $2 Coronas. I'm personally not a drinker, but I know that is a good deal. I will definitely be going back. Damn good food! more

Without the local bar scene there would be no place to call home. The around the corner bar takes a new meaning and thanks to the doors opening at the Fox Hole Pub, I wouldn?t be able to have that place. Please emphasize that this is around the corner, compared to the bars that pop up faster than Wal-Mart in other cities. Every state has them you have been too (where literally around the corner you are within walking distance). It is down the street on highland drive, unlike any sports bar, if you have been living in Sandy, personally ive been in Utah for about 8 months and In Utah for about 9 Years. If you haven?t noticed that finding a bar is pretty difficult here in Utah. Feel the local scene. Remember what you like the regular bar scene that is not overpowered by loud music and by high priced drinks at watered down tastes. Getting surprised. The beer in Utah is a bit bland but you can always find the local favorites on tap. Appreciate the brew. It wasn?t until recently- the realization needed to find something to do, and meet new people. Taken friends to a couple bars but of course it takes too long to drive clear past State Street. Far from the house down the street, and far from being regular, Can you find a good place to meet friends that you know you will eat good food, and instantly. Neorotic! Becoming nearly dedicated to the Sports Bar! Why not the loud cheers, the friends, you can get everyone involved. Need to find a place to go in Sandy Utah? The Fox Hole! more
