To all you potential car buyers out there: FOWLER TOYOTA in Norman, OK should be your last resort. They sell cars to which they cannot produce titles for. They make promises during negotiations that are not reflected in the contract. The promises in question for us are; the promise of 2 years of service maintenance (ie: oil changes) but they wrote the contract to include only 2 oil changes. During the financing process even with descent credit, they try convincing you that the only way to qualify for the loan is to buy an extended warranty ($3000) AND gap insurance ($800). The extended warranty is supposed to be for the life of the 3 year loan, yet again the contract reflects only a 2yr/24000 mi. warranty instead of the promised 3yr/36000mi. warranty. When Fowler Toyota sells a used car they tell you the average miles per year is 17,000 mi. But when selling an extended warranty or trading in a car they tell you the average is 12,000 per yr (or in our case the average appears to be 8,000). Our original purchase date was March 25, 2014...it's now May 12, 2014 and still no title. Everyone do yourself a favor and take my advice, DO NOT BUY FROM Fowler Toyota!!! We did however finally receive the title 2 mo after purchase. more

After losing my keys, I came into Fowler Toyota for the first time this past Monday simply to get a replacement key made for my Toyota. The situation was very inconvenient because I had to tow my car half way across town to get the job done. They were obviously very busy that day and I waited just to find out that there was not a key available in their inventory. Having to leave my car overnight only added to the frustration and I left an unhappy customer. However after the job was done a day later, I was ready to express my frustration to my service advisor. He completely understood and offered me a very fair price for the service. I was surprised by his initiative to accept responsibility and I was completely satisfied leaving the lot. As I waited there for my car to be pulled up, I noticed the awards on his wall that his service team received for customer service. Now I can totally see why Fowler Toyota is one of the best. You just don't get that kind of integrity in customer service at any other dealership. I will definitely recommend and return to Fowler Toyota because of their excellent service team. Purchased 2011 camry 2/5/2013

Recently purchased a car from Fowler. It was a wonderful experience. I would like to thank Mark Owen, we were able to purchase our car for the price we wanted with no haggling. They filled our gas tank up and gave us 3 free oil changes also. At the date of purchase they only had one key available and John Hagaen (sp) personally tracked it down and called me to let me know they had it. I would defiantly recommend this dealer to others and will use them again. This is how car buying should be. Best car buying experience ever! 1/10/2013

My experience started approximately six months prior to making my purchase. I took my wife's camry in for service and met my salesman Byron. I was in the market to buy truck. I had my mind set on buying a Dodge or a Ford. After speaking with my salesman I soon added the Toyota Tundra to my list. Being the type of person that does research I spent the next months researching and kicking tires. My salesman Byron was not pushy at all and took the time to answer all my questions. The over all experience in the pre buying stage was great but the day of purchase was even smoother. Sales manager Mark worked with myself and my wife's strict payment ceiling to get the best deal possible for both parties. I have never worked with such knowledgeable people that allowed me to make my car buying decision at my own pace. They really made me feel like I was their most important customer and that they had mine and my wife's best interest at heart. I will never buy from another dealership again. Best used car buying experience I've ever had. 12/16/2012

My wife was in need of a dependable car. I got online, knowing how dependable Toyota vehicles are since I have owned six in the past. I wanted a certain vehicle, namely the Rav4, and found a 2010 model with just 30,000 miles at Fowler Toyota. They had this beaut priced under loan value so I thought there had to be a catch somewhere. I was wrong. The salesman, Walter Wagner, was absolutely the nicest, most honest salesman I have ever dealt with. He did not push, coerce, or even talk down to me. I got the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. Scott Tang was the finance officer I dealt with. Even though he was a little pushy about the protection plan, he was very receptive to my needs. After all was said and done, I was very pleased with my buying experience. But wait, I'm not done. After buying the car, I wanted to have a spare key made. Guess what? The parts manager was just as friendly and helpful. Then my wife was told to schedule a time to have the key programmed. She scheduled it for Friday morning. Thursday evening, she called me, telling me the battery was dead. I had to jump start the car that night and the next morning. I told her not to purchase a new battery at the dealership, because I knew we could get one cheaper elsewhere. She called me after her service, saying they replaced the battery, programmed the key, and performed a recall item. I asked her what the cost was. She said zero! I am so thrilled with Fowler Toyota. Recently bought a 2012 rav4 12/14/2012

I went to Fowler after visiting several other places to just look for a suv. I knew what I was looking for but not which kid of car would provide my needs. when i went i a very nice young man Corey Rucker meet me and ask me If he could help me. I told him what i was looking for, he ask me some details and said he had one he thought i would really like. he showed me the Rav4. I did like it but wanted to look around for a little more. Corey was very nice he drove me around to every car I wanted to see. He was knew his cars well and told me the pros and cons as to what i needed. He was very nice and I vever felt I was being pushed in anyway. My husband is sick and couldn't help me this was my first car to buy on my own and was very nervous.When i went ot the three other dealers I was crazy when i left them i was so confused and they wuld call me sometimes twice a day. Corey was very nice and considerate and helped me alot. I bought the car that day and never felt pushed. Corey answered every question I had and never seemed like I was bothering him. I would will and already ahve recommemded several people to him. they may not buy this yr but planning on in th spring and summer. I tole them to go see Corey first. they would not be disappointed. . Excellent Service 12/10/2012

We would like to give your service department people a well-deserved thank you for all they have helped us with through the years. Special thanks go to Tonya for overseeing the quality care we have experienced. She is usually the first one I speak to about my car and she has always treated us right. We bought our first Toyota (Corolla) from Fowler in 2003, and have brought it in periodically through the years. I became acquainted with Tonya in 2006, and have always asked for her since, because she has been very knowledgeable when it came to any problems I might have with the vehicles I brought in for service. We have since referred all our family members to Fowler because of the exceptional service Tonya and the service crew has provided. We would also like to forward a special thanks to one of your car sales reps, Dirk, for his help with our purchase of a used Toyota for our son. It was an exceptional and pleasant experience. We explained what we needed and he came through for us. However, the one bump in the road was the experience I had when it became necessary for me to purchase a new Toyota, because of an accident with my Corolla, which was rear-ended by a hit and run driver. This time we decided to purchase a new Camry. During negotiations, one of the sales managers called me at home with what he said was his final price and hung up on me before I could make any response. This resulted in me going to another dealership, where I negotiated a price with them and purchased a Camry there. But then a problem came up. There was a popping sound in the trunk when the trunk lid was raised. The other dealers service department tried to fix it by replacing a couple parts in the trunk on two different occasions. Still it popped. They said bring it back. Well, guess what? I called Tonya, described the problem, and she arranged an appointment to bring it in to Fowler. One of your technicians investigated and eventually decided to take some measurement in the trunk. He then compared those measurements with measurements he took in another Camry on the lot and discovered the problem to be a manufacturing defect. It has been reported to Toyota and is currently being investigated by them to find a fix. I am saying your service department is awesome! Your service rep and service techs are the best, and go above and beyond to take care of their customers! I want to add that Tonya is the reason for my return to Fowler. I have the upmost trust in her judgment and that of your service department people. You sure need to take care of those folks because they are the heart of your business. I have rated you 5 stars in all categories primarily because of your outstanding service department and Dirks excellence in assistance and patience with us while finding just the right car for our son. Serive Department 12/4/2012

I dont have experience with the sales department but I will NEVER use this dealership because of my experience with the service department. I dropped off my Tacoma at 3:59 p.m. I was told they would call me and let me know when they are done, or if they figure out anything else. After waiting by the phone thinking they would call, I never heard from them, knowing they close at 9:00 p.m. I went to the dealership, and the service person that handled my Tacoma was already gone, the only guy there looked up my name and he said that they never touched my truck. They had my truck for 6 hours and didnt even look at it. I understand service getsbusy, but to have my truck for 6 hours and not even give me a courtesy call to tell me anything about it is wrong and bad busniess. Luckly I was able to pick up my truck before they closed otherwise they would have locked it up over night without even telling me. Like I said I will NEVER use Fowler Toyota again! RESPONSE FROM Fowler Toyota: We called the customer to apologize for the miscommunication as soon as we became aware of what happened. He had requested an oil change service and estimates on several repair needs. That work was performed before he came back to pick up his vehicle. However, due to a data entry error by the technician, the second advisor that checked the status of the work could not tell it had been done. Unfortunately, the customer's original service advisor, who would have known what was going on, had already left for the day. We apologized for not keeping him better informed and advised him that we took steps to prevent any recurrence. We did not charge the customer for the oil change service we performed and as a goodwill gesture offered to cover up to $100 of his warranty deductible if he would give us an opportunity to perform the repairs his vehicle needed. He declined our offer. His experience is not typical of how we normally do business and if we make a mistake we own up to it. Some of our most loyal customers are the ones that had a problem but appreciated our efforts to make things right. more

I Love My New Car 11/30/2012

I must admit I was apprehensive about buying a new car on my own but my salesman, Brent Baus at Fowler Toyota made it so much easier. He really listened to my criteria regarding my budget and what I could afford as well as the features I wanted. He did his best to find the car that met them all. I also feel like Fowler gave me a good price for my trade-in which other dealerships weren't willing to do. Brent made the whole process so much easier because he really cared. I highly recommend Brent & Fowler! more

They were honest 11/30/2012

Fowler Toyota is an excellent dealership and I recommend them for anyone. They took care of me as a customer, worked with my budget to help me meet my needs for my next car. They gave me a good trade-in value for my sports car, where other dealerships tried to low ball me even after I showed the the true value of the car. Matt was my salesman and he knows alot about cars. He gave me honest answers and reasons for/against certain cars based on my needs. The lady in the finance department went above and beyond explaining everything from my credit score to what to pay towards the principle to get it paid off in the least amount of time, that was within my range. Great customer service, friendly atmosphere and I left feeling good, not like I was hassled. If you need a car this is the place to go! more

Incomparable Service 10/16/2012

I found a truck that I was interested in on Autotrader's website. I had a few questions regarding the options on the vehicle that I wanted answered before I drove to the dealership to check it out in person. My questions were answered promptly via e-mail and I decided that the truck was exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived at the dealership I was impressed with the number of staff on hand to assist me. Walter Wagner was the salesman that I dealt with. He was fair and honest and was even able to get an extra few hundred dollars off the already rock bottom price. I thought it was going to be too good to be true and there would be some hidden fees once we started doing paperwork, but I was wrong. I paid around $3,000 less than the market price for comparable trucks. I have two friends who recently purchased trucks like mine that are jealous of the deal that I got. Six months later the dealership, and Mr. Wagner himself, still follow up with me periodically to ensure that I am still happy with my purchase and that I haven't had any issues with the vehicle. It's nice to see a business, much less a car dealership, go the extra mile in this day and age. I will buy from Fowler Toyota in the future and recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle. Great place! 9/14/2012

Very satisfied with my experience at this dealership. Car was better than advertised. Price that was advertised was much less than what they were actually asking for it, yet they honored the advertised price. The finance manager went above and beyond to get me what I would consider a great rate. (after I left the dealership.). He called me up while I was on my way home with my purchase and said he could get me a better rate. Top notch place. I may buy my next car or truck from them, if I still live in Oklahoma that is. Very Happy with Fowler Toyota. 5/29/2012

I am very happy with everything except the return phone call from John Downs on Monday, May 21,2012. I called Mr. Downs three times on this date, left three messages and never received a return call. I finally reached Mr. Downs by calling the sales person who had waited on me, Mr. Louis Paris. He handed his phone to Mr. Downs and he then talked to me. I was concerned about the check I had written to Fowler. I wanted to make certain that it had not been cashed. I came up on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 and Mr. John Collins waited on me. He found the check and told me what I needed to do which I did. I then returned on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 and received my check and gave Mr. Collins the money in the form of checks from TFCU and One Main Financial made out to me, Janice Hinesley. I am now satisfied with all services after Mr. Collins took care of my needs. Thank you to all of you who helped me in purchasing my 2010 Toyota Corolla. I am very happy with my car. Thank you one and all. more
