Hello everyone. Just thought I would briefly defend my property. I believe I know the person who wrote the previous review and would like to give you some quick info. It IS a very good idea to take pictures of damage to the apartment. It is a better idea to even take the manager through the apartment with you before you turn in your keys. The reason for this is because if you have pets, like most of our tenants, you can't really take a picture of pet odor. If you have cats and they don't make it in the cat box, it is VERY difficult to get the urine smell out of the carpet AND pad. We attempt to clean the carpet, sometimes multiple times, but there are times where the only way to get the smell out is by taking the carpet out. The forum apartments are the worst apartments that you could get in Mt Pleasant. NEVER live there. The office staff is VERY unfriendly, the maintence workers are rude and judgemental and NEVER do thier job. All the forum staff does all day is sit in the main office and play pool, occationally answering phones. They dont take complaints seriously, unless they have something against you as a person. There is always ice in front of the stairs that never gets salted. Many people have fallen due to this. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that anyone does in the apartment above, below or next to you. When moving out make sure to ALWAYS take pictures of EVERYTHING, otherwise they WILL replace carpet, doors, ovens, ect and charge you for the damages. Overall, noone should live in these apartments. They are cheaply built, not maintained whatsoever, and there is constantly trash thrown around the buildings. Pros: there are none Cons: everything! more
