You'll no doubt find what you want here, but you'll be paying through the teeth for it. We ran out a product widely sold in health stores. We paid in excess of $25 (with discount)...

Rude and Overpriced - order Online or go somewhere else. I tolerated the rudeness and prices for awhile until one day, after frequently patronizing this store, I attempted to return an unused item with the receipt. I was told I was over the 7 day return policy (by like 2 days) and they would not take it back. Of course that is their perogative but it was the last straw for me. They are clearly only interested in your money, not in your well being (unusual as my experience has been that most health food stores really want to help you). Maybe if more of us did not put up with their rudeness, they would be forced to act like they cared? more

Got some delicious kale chips from here 4/10/2012

Happened to be in the area and a friend had told me about forces of nature. Checked it out and was happy to find a place for us green lovers and health nuts. The kale chips were sooo good--tasted almost exactly like the ones I make from scratch. I just wish it was closer to my apartment :( more

As a yoga teacher 3/27/2012

I am a bi-costal yoga instructor, my business keeps me pretty busy, and pretty much in the air for a lot of the time! But there is one place I absolutely look forward to when I land at JFK--hitting Forces of Nature to restock my organic supplies at home as well as my supplements. The staff is amazing and I love getting their email coupons. more

Normally it can be kinda frustrating trying to find organic items in BK so I was very happy to discover forces of nature and see that they not only had an abundance of food buts lots of supplements too. more

great for gluten free shopping! 2/1/2012

sure, it can be a bit expensive, but it's good for you people! i'm trying to give up gluten so it can be pretty tough shopping at regular grocery stores. and plus, when you shop at forces you get one on one interaction with the employees and don't feel overwhelmed by a super huge chain store. more

They have an excellent selection of food here....even though it is a lot smaller than whole foods of trader joe's, I feel like I spend more time here because I can take my time and don't have to fight all of the crowds. more

no competition whatsoever. ptus whol foods to shame. for the same price, you get a more personal feel and dont have to deal with the crowds of whole foods...oh and you also don't have to go alllll the way into the city. yeah, pretty awesome. more

seriously, idk why people arent flocking to this store--especially considering how many health ""nuts"" live in the best borough.i started going here because they had a certain supplement good for vegetarians then i slowly got hooked on everything else they offer. more

Everyt time i go into the store i'm always drawn to new products and the latest and greatest in homepathic remedies (especially around this time of year!). their employees always have answers to any questions and are more than willing to help you navigate their store. more

Thank you forces of nature 11/10/2011

My wife is really into all of those herbal remedies and is convinced natural is the way to go when trying to fight a cold. I usually fight her on this, but decided to try it out this past week when i was sick. She went to forces of nature and got me a bunch of homeopathic stuff. I was only in bed for one day and felt so much better after! Fully convinced now. more

Made the switch to organic and I feel great! I like shopping here because it isn't some huge corporate chain and its really easy to find what you need. Its also nice to support local businesses. They have two shops, one is mostly supplements and vitamins and the second is all groceries. So it's nice to be able to go to both for all your healthy lifestyle needs. more

i started eating healthier recently in hopes to lose some weight. i love forces of nature for having so many health tips and different supplements that keep me energized throughout the day. i got some pyruvate too from them to boost my metabolism and i have noticed a huge difference! more

Helped with allergies 10/24/2011

I am slightly obsessed with this store. But the first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem right? Only I don't need to because everything at forces of nature is SO GOOD for you. I've been using various supplements to help with my allergies and have never felt better. Normally this time of year I am not looking so hot with a red nose and watery eyes. more
