No need for Petco 10/19/2010

Growing up Conejo, we had small pet stores all around. While big box chains have since put most of them out of business, FPS has survived over the years, for good reason. For a small store, they have a broad stock. If you don't find what you need, they can usually order and the turn around is pretty quick. Prices are reasonable too which is a surprise to many since they assume it's more expensive because it's not a corporate giant. Good, personalized customer service too. Best of all they don't get all their feed from China and I don't have to join a club to get good deals. more

a quick FPS bio 7/17/2009

i am one of the current employees at the shop and i just want to say we have the LOWEST PRICES in the entire area, we are all knowledgeable on everything that we carry, and the customer service is unbeatable. we are aware of the parking issue but you can always park in our neighbor's parking lot(aquarium connection) because they too are aware of our parking issue. we also do many special orders so if you need something we do not carry we can most likely have it in by the end of the week. for any questions feel free to call us at 805 496 3430, our hours are 10-6:30 weekdays, 10-6 sat., 11-5 Sunday more

Amazing Pet Shop 7/1/2009

This is one of my favorite places to shop whenever I need to buy something for my pets. I found this place about 2 years ago when I bought my 3 bunnies there. Great discounts and a large variety of everything you would need. This shop is a lot better than Petsmart and Petco when it comes to values. The only thing I would mark it off for is the layout of the shop. Otherwise I would've given this place 2 thumbs up! more

Great little shop 5/3/2008

I found For Pets Sake a year ago and have found their prices to be better than Petco or Petsmart in regards to bird supplies and reptile stuff like live food and other odds and ends. If they Dont have what you need they can usually get it in a couple of days. Its a small business that deserves support as they are much more personable and knowledgeable than the big chains. I Hate the "costco type" businesses taking over and putting the better small businesses out of business. more

Nice local shop 7/10/2005

This is a nice pet shop if you don't like the big chains. Generally friendly staff and a decent selection of merchandise. The parking lot isn't huge, but it's generally not too crowded and there is usally street parking, making for a hassle free shopping experience. Not a fancy shop, but it gets the job done. more
