Finding love 12/22/2010

Two weeks ago I adopted a black lab puppy that was rescued by a hunter through this rescue. He and his siblings were found living in a log abandoned in the woods. Spencer, now named Boo, was timid due to his past circumstance. When I picked him up he had been abthed and was sporting a beautiful collar, leash and ID tag with our phone number on it! In a Class above the Rest! 5/29/2010

I have taken all of my pets to For Paws Boutique and they have loved every minute of their time there! The owners have gone above and beyond to help with my dogs, one of which had developed a genetic rage issue and was becoming aggressive at home. I took him to obedience school there and was impressed by how much Rebekah was willing to do for me, including taking my dog to her house for a week+ and work with him privately in her personal time away from the store. No other pet store/training facility even came close to even offering what For Paws was willing to do for me. I also have extensive experience volunteering with their non-profit animal rescue, and through it and my time spent at the store, I can attest that the owners love and care for EVERY animal that walks in their doors, and that every employee is held to their high standards of care for the animals. A great place for animal lovers! 2/15/2010

I would like to recommend For Paws Boutique to any pet owner or potential pet family. I have been a customer of theirs for several years and have taken advantage of their grooming facilities as well as their home sitting service. I love their store and all of the wonderful people who work there. Their service is knowledgeable and friendly and there is no doubt about their dedication to the health and happiness of our animals. We have adopted two animals (one cat and one dog) from their non-profit rescue and they have been the most wonderful pets anyone could ask for. Rebekah and Cindy, we will always be in your debt for our sweet, sweet Jake, the best dog I have known. Thank you for bringing us together and for all the times you have spoiled him with love and cookies. You are the best! more

For Paws Boutique is lifesaver! 10/26/2009

Four Paws is a lifesaver! I have a special needs dog who was beaten in a puppy mill for bout the first four years of his life. My mom rescued him and they were togther 24 hours a day and he was even in bed with hter when she took her last breath a few months ago. He has been through many changes since my mom died: he came to live with me, was introduced to new dogs, and we have now moved to the area. I love leaving him at Four Paws becuse they don't just simply put him in a room with other pups. He receives individual attention and very special care. I don't have to worry about him one bit while I'm at work and that is such a relief! Thank you for the love you give Teddy every day and making him a much happier pup! by Jet H. more

For Paws Boutique is AMAZING 9/13/2009

They were amazing! I took my dog to board there for the weekend and I've never boarded her before. She's usually afraid of other dogs so I was wary of taking her anywhere. They made sure from the time we got there that she'd be as comfortable as possible and told me I could call and check on her anytime. I called the next day and they said she was curled up cuddling with another dog and had been playing. I was so pleased with how well they took care of her. As of now, if you go to moneymailer.com there is a coupon for $5 off and I felt it was a great deal, especially for the service provided. I would recommend them to anyone! more

For Paws Boutique is Great!! 8/31/2009

Not sure how there are such rude comments about For Paws. Our dog has been groomed there and boarded for 4 nights. I've even called while away to see how my dog is doing and they are nice and helpful. They have always been wonderful and you can tell they truly care about animals unlike many other places I've been to in Auburn who just want you in and out (I won't name names)... I only want the best for my dog and I've lived in other cities across the U.S. where they have a better selection of boarding facilities, and For Paws is definitely the best in Auburn/Opelika from what I've found. Keep up the good work For Paws Boutique! more

For Paws Boutique is disapointing 7/21/2009

I was very dissatisfied with for Paws. I took my dog to them for grooming. The first time i took him I bought a package which included a groom plus 3 baths. They failed to mention that I had to bring him every week for a month to get my dog bathed. I took him back a month later and only got one bath. I took him again and they did a horrible job. He came home with hair all different lengths. I took him back 3-4 days later and they told me his hair was growing back at different rates which is ridiculous. Then I called and asked if I had to make an appointment for a sat. groom to which the owner said no just bring him in before 9. When I got there I found out I had to have an appointment for sat. Other than not having their ducks in a row they took good care of my dog. If you go here ask lots of ?'s to make sure you are informed. more

For Paws Boutique is Disneyland for my dogs! 7/20/2009

I love, love, LOVE For Paws. And more importantly both of my pups love For Paws (they all but jump out the windows when we turn in the parking lot bc they can't wait to get in there!!). When I lived in Auburn my black Lab Sassy went to day care every day and it was obvious how much she enjoyed it. Now that my husband and I live in GA, we still will drive over an hour to bring Sassy & our new Springer Spaniel Sadie to board at For Paws when we go out of town. As for people's comments on how they handle animals--Sassy TRULY lives up to her name and is a serious wild child. They have never been anything but patient, caring, and understanding with her. And I can't thank Rebekah enough for her recommendation of food--one of our dog's has serious tummy problems which were solved by the food she turned us on to! Their help and advice on all our animals has been invaluable. I have complete confidence in For Paws and cannot imagine leaving my precious babies in the care of anyone else! R more

I think this pet shop is a very good shop. I got my second cat there. Rebeca is very gentle and caring for all the animals. She loved my new puppy Iris and she is also very helpful and considerate. I think this pet-shop is the best. more

Awsome!! 4/23/2009

I have used other grooming/boarding facilities before finding For Paws. I will never use anyone else. For Paws takes care of my dogs with love and kindness and they always look great. My youngest LOVES daycare. I am there sometimes several times a week and have NEVER seen anyone mistreat an animal. I have recommended For Paws to several people and they all love them as much as we do. more

My canine family and I have been loyal customers of For Paws since the day they opened on Gay Street.We have always been on the weekly bath/grooming program. My Portuguese Water Dog used to run in and stand by his crate, just waiting for someone to let him in.\r He was obviously happy to be there! When his advancing cancer could be tolerated no longer, Rebekkah was there, literally, from the beginning to the end.\r \r My experiences with Four Paws have included a dog that knew which day was bath day and would wail as if he had been beaten if I drove the car in any direction other than For Paws on Thursdays; the benefit of the staff's wise advice for my million and one dog questions; generous use of a borrowed pen when one of my dogs had surgery; and a selection of the best dog toys I have ever seen! Four Paws even assisted me in adding to my canine family in the form of one very precious miniature poodle Truman, who has proven to be a True Man!\r \r I never worry when I board my dogs more

Caring, Loving, Professional 4/20/2009

For Paws has been a part of our family's lives for more than 10 years. They have always provided the best care for all of our animals. Our two youngest love to play at day care.\r \r When we boarded our 2 young puppies who became very ill, Rebekah got them to our vet and cared for them for 7+ days we were away. She cared for them as if they were her own.\r \r All of our current pets have been adopted from For Paws. The love and concern that Rebekah, Cindy, Emma and all the staff have for the deserving animals who need homes is amazing! \r \r I would not board our 3 dogs with anyone else and I wouldn't hire any other professional sitters when we have our babies cared for at home.\r \r This business, its owners and staff are truly assets to our community. more

Love Them!!!!! 4/18/2009

For two years my bulldog went to puppy day care everyday. I never knew that others could love him as much as I did. However, everyone who took care of him treated him with nothing but love and kindness. He loved to go there and I always felt that I could leave him and know that he was going to be treated as one of their own.\r Never fear about leaving your baby at For Paws! more

I TRUST THEM COMPLETELY 4/18/2009

For Paws--the ENTIRE staff--are fabulous and loving with all the animals. Rebekah noticed my young dog seemed "out of sorts" while she was in boarding and took her to our vet. She gave our dog the necessary medicines-for 7 days-while we were gone and took her back for a follow up with our vet. Cindy even performed the hiemlich (?) maneuver on our 90-lb lab during a home visit when the dog choked after eating too quickly-she saved Millie's life! I have no "human" children, but I trust Cindy & Rebekah with my dogs' lives...that's the ultimate respect from me. more

happiness 4/18/2009

I have known Rebecca for 15+ years- she even kept my dogs at her home before opening her business. She and her staff have taken care of my dogs through surgeries and vacations and I have always felt secure knowing they were well taken care of!!! They consider my "children" as their own as evident by the response I get when we drive up to the store with my dogs-full elation and lots of tail wagging! more

Compassionate, reliable and trustworthy care 4/18/2009

I have used For Paws for many years and highly recommend them for all of their services. I buy dog food and treats from them, but the main reason that I use them is for pet sitting and boarding. I have several special needs dogs, all came from situations of abuse, neglect, or abandonment and some with serious medical problems. There is no way that I would leave my pets with anyone that I could not fully trust to care for my animals as well as I do. One of my dogs was severely abused and has brain damage and she requires a lot of patience. Everyone there treats her with a great deal of compassion. Rebekah, Cindy and Emma treat my pets as if they were their own. more

FABULOUS FOR PAWS BOUTIQUE 4/17/2009

Hannah and I love For Paws Boutique! Rebekah cares so much about people and their pets. I adopted a miniature poodle from For Paws and unfortunately, he did not live long. He ran out into the street and was hit by a car. It was unbelievable how Rebekah and her staff consoled me. Rebekah found an adorable, sweet, gorgeous young poodle for me... she went above and beyond! I do not know what I would have done to get through the trauma if it had not been for Rebekah, Cindy, Emma, etc. They're so helpful and when I do not know what to do with young Hannah, they reassure me. Hannah loves daycare so I love daycare. She is a joy and so happy when she is at For Paws Boutique. My whole family loves how she looks when they groom her too! Also, I found two newborn kittens that were abandoned by their mother and of course, For Paws took them to care for! Truly giving, caring people!! more

Known for over 15 years! 4/17/2009

I have used Pet Sitting Plus for over 15 years and For Paws Boutique since they opened on Gay Street and after they moved to their current location. Both Rebekah and Cindy have gone out of their way to help with all of my dogs (4)and cats(2) over the years. Especially when I had a sick dog that had to be transported back and forth to the vet while I was out of town. I know they take excellent care of the animals in the home (Pet Sitting Plus) because my neighbor always comments on how dependable they are. In fact, she now uses them! I have recommended For Paws to many people over the years and they have always been happy with their many services. Just last night I told a friend how Pet Sitting Plus could help her with walking her dog when she has to be gone for the day. I highly recommend both Pet Sitting Plus and For Paws Boutique!!! (I also adopted one of their adult rescued cats and she has had no health problems at all.) more

My pets and I love this place! 4/17/2009

I have been taking my dog Nora to For Paws for over 7 years and, when I adopted Vinnie 2 years ago, he started going, too. As soon as the word "daycare" comes out of my mouth, my dogs are aiming for the door and ready to go! I have never had a bad experience with anyone at For Paws and my pets have attended daycare, boarded, had baths...pretty much used every service that For Paws offers. If anything, Rebekah, Cindy and their staff go out of their way to make sure that both animals and their owners are treated well. I have done transports for animal rescues and, on many occasions, For Paws has granted me the use of their vehicles, crates, leashes, etc. to help in any way they can to get these animals out of kill shelters. There were many times when animals would have been put down were it not for the kindness that these ladies have shown. My animals are my family and there is no way that I would trust just anyone with them. I highly recommend For Paws to anyone else who feels ab more
