PERFECT READING NOOK 10/10/2008

This place is a house. The front is a seating area with a little library corner shelf and open windows with outside seating area. The food is excellent. Very fresh veggies, the soup is fresh and hot. Served on real plates and cups - I love it. its gets really busy around lunch time but its peaceful around 10 am and later after 2pm. more

You must visit Food Heads if you haven't yet! What a fun, healthy little house! They have spectacular chicken and avacado sandwiches. You can tell they make their own bread and soups. You can even get dr. pepper in a glass bottle! more

best sammys 8/21/2005

food heads has some of the best sammys in austin. every time that i go to this great lunch shop, i get a wonderful sandwich that is made with delicious ingredients - like the gypsy, that is made with pork tenderloin and fried egg, among other things. also, try their freshly baked cookies, yummy potato salad, and other delicious treats. more

Great Sandwiches / Wonderful Atmosphere 8/14/2005

Foodhead's is probably one of the greatest finds near the University campus area. Located on 34th they serve delicious sandwiches in a very homey atmosphere. My favorite would have to be their gypsy grove sandwich which has pork, fried egg, tabasco sauce, cole slaw and other delicious ingredients. In addition to their great sandwiches, their soups are to die for as well. Their chicken tortilla soup is the best! more
