Dr. Sheridan has been our vet for over 10 years and has seen us through some pretty tough scenarios as we've always had 2 or more dogs. A few times he's had to work hard to keep them alive, and one time he had to help us let go. Everytime though, we saw his compassion and care come through for our entire family. And it's there with his staff who are always willing to help you and help your animals get the care they need. Folly Road Animal Hospital is there when the going gets really tough, and even when it isn't. Animals are unpredictable, but we've always been able to count on FRAH. Thanks Dr Tom and staff - you really are lifesavers! more

I have a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier that I have been bringing to Tom Sheridan and staff for over 6 years. He even rescued an 8 year old Jack Russell and called me and asked if I wanted to adopt her and I did! My older Jack has had major health problems and had to have several surgeries. I had to leave him for a week with Folly Road Animal Hospital, Tom would call and email me daily giving me updates. He even gave me his cell phone to use in an emergency. Both dogs love Tom & staff, they actually love going to the Vet! You can tell all of the employees there really love animals. I have never felt comfortable boarding my dogs but I feel completely at ease with leaving them there. The prices are more than reasonable, Tom is so caring and gentle with the animals. I would never take my dogs to anyone else, I trust him completely. more

We love going to Folly Road AH, including my dog...I mean it's not a trauma for her, and the place is pleasant all around. I am extremely confident with Dr. Sheridan's care, and I am not easy to please. He has saved us money AND corrected a misdiagnosis from another vet. We will be staying with these folk because they care, and it's obvious. Also Dr. Sheridan is nice, smart and easy to talk to. Thanks FRAH! more

My dog actually likes going to this Kennel! The place is relaxed, doesn't smell bad, has a good staff and an excellent veterinarian. My cat doesnt ""freak out"" there like she does at other clinics. Reasonable prices and late hours on Monday and Fridays are nice too. more

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Tom for 13 years now. He has been extremely knowledgeable and caring with all of them. They have had multiple surgeries with no complications and great recoveries. The staff is always willing to help over the phone if they can and have always been available when I needed them. Would recommend them to anyone who needs a vet for the once a year visit or for anything major. He is reasonably priced which I is why I started going to him and I stayed because he is a great vet. more

Tom Sheridan has taken care of four of my dogs over the course of 13 years. I am so pleased with his care I drive from Mount Pleasant. His care has been exceptional. He has operated on two of my dogs, one with a leg problem and the other with delivery problems. The staff is friendly. As long as I have dogs, Tom will be my vet. more

Have been a customer of Tom (Sheridan) for 6 years now. He cured an ailment on my cat that 4 other vets had failed to fix, so I've used him ever since. He's taken great care of my two cats and my girlfriends retriever every time we've seen him. The staff has always been kind and helpful and the price reasonable. Been seeing Dr. Sheridan for 5 yrs. He has always been professional, pleasant and helpful. Gave me excellent advise on what to feed my four dogs. He's very gentle with my guys and they enjoy their visit there. His prices for medication are very competitive. Staff is delightful and also very helpful. Wouldn't change for anything. We had gone to FRAH for years. My wife was heavily involved in animal rescue, so we have thrown business their way for many, many years. So it was completely disheartening for the events that unfolded the other day, to say the least. Our cat had been operated upon a couple of days prior and had surgical implanted drains just under his skin as well as several stitches to close the deep incision. We took our cat to get the drains removed and his vet tech took out all the stiches as well. The wound was deep and open and we were about 8 days away from removing them. We had a friend pick up our cat after the procedure and were shocked and HORRIFIED to what we came home to. We had to make an emergency trip to Bees Ferry the next day to make sure we weren't overreacting. The vet on duty was equally shocked and horrified. She also mentioned that she didn't see it possible that a vet did the original stitches in the first place, as the area looked so bad and not prepped for surgery at all. She ended up having to remove a little of the skin and use surgical staples. We faxed over the bill and report to Dr. Sheridan's office who only would not apologize, but would not pay for the bill, or admit fault. In fact he said (and I quote) ""The only reason we use stitches is because people don't like to see open wounds."" We were heartbroken, but at least our cat is still alive (thanks to Bees Ferry). If you are looking for a vet in the James Island/Folly Beach area and are put off by the cost of Bees Ferry, I would recommend Ohlandt. I recently found out about the horrible acts this man committed against animals. These are not light charges. This man kicked puppies and hanged a kitten! None of this information came up when I googled this vet last year after getting my cat. Luckily, I picked a different vet, but people need to be aware. Cons: severe anger issues among many others more

When I first walked into this hospital it was very cozy and welcoming. The staff greeted me with smiles and concern for my animal. Dr. Sheridan was very respectful and I greatly admire him. I would never take my animal to any other doctor but him. Pros: Great staff, great doctor, great atmosphere more

This Vet needs to be in jail for what he did to our pet & then he lied & pressured his staff to lie about the injuries that he himself caused to our precious animal out of his anger when our pet was not co-operative to receiving painful treatment without being anesthetized. Pros: Staff is professional & friendly Cons: Vet is dishonest and abusive to pets more

Warm and caring staff, friendly atmosphere, great environment. Dr. Sheridan is professional, knowledgable and caring. My wife and I anxiously await health problems with our pets so that we can return. Is that a little bit wierd? more
