Focus Optical

I stopped into Focus Optical today, and I was completely shocked by the level of service I received. First, they made me totally at ease with my first experience with an eye exam. The doctor was very detailed in their exam and talk me through every step of the process. After the exam was over and it was determined that I needed glasses, Tom (owner) was very helpful in finding a frame that would fit my face and not trying to up sell the most expensive frames and services. He made me feel like I was the only customer he has. Once I picked the frame I wanted, he said "" Do you want to pick them up today?"" and I replied, ""They will be ready today?"" ""I will have them ready by 3:30pm"" he said, and my appointment was at 10:30 am. I was completely shocked I would have them the same day. After this experience I will tell all my friends and family to shop this location for their eyeglass needs. GREAT JOB and keep up the great service Focus Optical. more

Both myself and wife have been customers of Focus Optical for nearly 10 years and have constantly received superior service from Tom who I believe is the owner. If we could give them 6 stars we would. As an example of superior service, several years ago our family Opthalmologist screwed up my prescription not once, but twice. Under normal circumstances the first remake is on the glass provider but anything else is the responsibility of the purchaser. Tom not only cheerfully made sure we were 100% satisfied but also did all the paperwork and followup with the Doctor to make sure he paid for the error. Now that was customer service at its best. Since starting with Focus Optical we have on many occasions recommended them to our family and friends. For this reason, we cannot understand how the previous reviewer had such a negative review. The only thing I can think of, is that they must work for some other Optical supplier trying to undermine this establishment for their own benefit. I don't write many reviews but, I had to in this instance since such a negative review and personal comments are completely uncalled for. They provide excellent service at an affordable price. I'm glad we met Tom and we will never shop for glasses at a Mega store which are impersonal and just in it for the profit.. To help the local economy, support your local independently owned merchants. Without them, we all loose. more

Stay away! They were two weeks late in delivering my prescription sunglasses, then it turns out they flat-out lied to me about how much VSP would reimburse me. VSP reimbursed me $100 less than what this store told me they would. When I complained, the store manager denied having told me what VSP payback would be. Bunch of cheap liars! Call VSP yourself before making a purchase. These small businesses will scam you anyway they can! more

I was so surprised when I went here! I only went to this small optical center b/c I was trying to save some money on exam/contacts (which I did!) but it was the customer service that has me coming back! I've only met 2 of the people that work there (I think its just 3 or 4 people total) but they were great! They were professional but at the same time, extremely cool - Did not hassle me at all when I needed to exchange brands of contacts, gave me lots of trial lenses, stayed open a few minutes late waiting for me to arrive!, etc. No stuffiness like you get sometimes at D.O.C. Just good, old-fashioned mannered men! =) Yaahh for cheap contacts lol. Pros: Staff, Prices, Wait Cons: Nothing more
