Floridino's Pizza & Pasta

6/23/2012 I am beside myself right now. My server was incredible but cleary intimidated by the owner...in fact fearful of this rotten human. I have been a small business owner for decades..I get that their can be issues... Cockroaches dancing on my chicken, salad, bread and wine? Is that cool with you? Not with me, however, I understand it can happen in a food establishment. Owner came out after being requested of three times, I just wanted him to get the giant bug off my table as my purse was on table and I didn't want it to crawl in..Finally he comes out and.watches the flying sewer roach walk across all my food (i was sitting outside) after watching him for about 2 minutes...grabs the bug out of my wine, places him on his arm and says ""this bothers you?"" Allows the huge roach to climb all over him. (DISGUSTING) "" Why yes it does...my plan was to take my leftovers to work tomorrow."" He says ""And now, you are not going to take the leftovers?"" ""No, that bug crawled all through my food."" He let's the bug fly free in the wind with a brush of his hand and walks right back into the kitchen. server brings my bill and says the owner was nice enough take the meal off. okay BRAVFRICKINO!!!!!!!!!! but replaces it for a bill for the wine. He told the server to tell me that I drank more of the wine than the roach did. I told the adorable server who was so embarrassed, I was not going to pay the bill..She explained that she would be fired if I did not. Just like she told me when I asked her originally to get the owner/manager when the bug was on my food.. I paid the bill and tipped her handsomely and told her she needs to find another job as she is very good at what she does. My experience was horrible, but the way the server reacted was more than concerning...Kind of like how a battered woman would react. Btw...this occured two weeks ago...has taken me this long to make sense of what to write...stunning, and obviously this dude has a screw loose. Andddd after posting this all over facebook and telling every single one of my clients, and will continue too...One of my clients/friends contacted the original Floridino's...The owner there was embarrassed for this man's actions and offered to make it right..Now that is customer service...These two businesses are not at all affiliated. Do not go to this resturaunt...Many people left after witnessing his condescending nature..I was left furious for the evening...Try the Floridino's on Alma School...I've heard they are very very very good...and I already know the practice excellent customer service more

This is my first time to write anything like this, but here goes.....\r My husband and I often traveled from Yuma to Sun Lakes to visit his parents and they would always take us to Floridino's Pizza. Now, even though his parents are no longer there, we still stop at Floridino to eat when we are in town. Our preference is the calzones. We have eaten calzones in a variety of restaurants, but have never found another restaurant that can beat them; we have no favorite because we like them all. Our dinner always starts with a nice glass of red wine, pizza muffins (I believe this is the only place you can get them) and a dinner salad. We've never had to wait for service, once seated; it is always fast and friendly, couple that with the atmosphere and great food and you've had a great dining experience. Pros: Thumbs up to the friendly, efficient staff. Cons: The restaurant is small and crowded; we almost always have to wait for a seat. more

If you like alfredo, this is the place! It's made fresh from scratch every day. This is a family-run place and the service is very attentive. The inside decor could use some work but they have a nice patio. Overall, great food and great prices! Pros: service, food Cons: atmosphere more

The Floridino's in Gilbert mirrors the Chandler location with excellent service and good food at very reasonable prices. Try the pizza muffins, they are just great. The staff is friendly and very attentive. While the dining area is just functional, strip-mall consistent, it's pleasant as far as strip mall environments go. The pizza is just great - all kinds. The calzones are huge (I had to take half of it home)! Probably the biggest hit for my daughter were the white pizzas which were loaded with cheese. Just a good solid place to go for pizza and they DELIVER too with prompt deliveries! Pros: Fast service, Big calzones, Good values Cons: Strip mall presence, Too spartan more
