I had my bathroom tub and shower, along with the floor and sink retiled and regrouted. Now my bathroom looks amazing and I could not be happier. Ken was very helpful and professional. The crew that came to my home was not only professional but they made sure to clean everything up to the point that you could not tell they had ever been there. more

I recently hired Floorgem to install the hardwood floors at my home and was very pleased with the end result. The owner showed up on time and presented many different options for my floors. The work was installed when it was scheduled and the workers to care to make sure the mess was to a minimum. The result is excellent! Large “swirl” scratches over entire floor. They used wrong equipment or did not finish with fine grit. Shoe molding poorly installed, red oak. I have white oak floors. Shoe didn’t match, & was never mitered or finished on the ends & sections not cut correctly. They replaced boards in the bedroom using red oak…again, white oak floor! Instead of repairing a threshold & exposed plywood as promised, they simply slapped shoe molding on the front of the plywood & slapped polyurethane over the whole thing. Shiny plywood was not my idea! Some minor issues were, they didn’t pound & fill nail holes, they damaged our outside garden hose, all the lights in the house & garage were left on & the interior garage door was left open wasting all the air conditioning for the entire week we were out of town! When I complained, Waldman treated me very unprofessionally & disrespectfully. However he did admit there were “some problems here” and offered to remove the molding, fix the threshold, and put another coat of polyurethane down to attempt to camouflage the scratches. However, the “fixes” were even worse! Because they installed raw shoe molding & polyurethaned everything at same time (which is the WRONG way to do it), when they removed it there was a thick line & globs of polyurethane around entire perimeter---they didn’t sand this, they simply put another coat on top! Also, more debris & bubbles in polyurethane now. Worst of all, they also left a SHOE PRINT in the middle of my floor! And of course you can still see the original scratches! I have to pay someone else to redo entire floor now!! And Waldman NEVER stopped by, called, or even emailed to see how these "fixes" worked out. Instead his office admin called asking for payment. When I told her there were more problems now she abruptly ended the call & immediately sent a threatening email to my husband demanding payment at once or they would contact a lawyer. We only deducted $765 from his original bill because my husband was trying to be fair--but everytime I look at my floor I get angry & feel ripped off. Because it will actually cost us another $1400 to repair the floor correctly... I agree with the other person, do NOT use this company!! more

Words cannot explain the frustration and experience I had with Floor Gem. But I'll try. Disaster. Insurance Claims. Lawsuits. $16K in material damages. Flooding. Floor Gem mishandled and improperly installed the tile. Over 700 sq/ft had to be ripped out and replaced. Of which Ken Waldman, has not paid for! This was a $60K floor. And it looks absolutely horrible. It all has to be ripped up and replaced. During the installation, Floor Gem also flooded the condo unit, flooding the five units directly below. Everything that could go wrong on this job, DID! Do not use this company. Very unprofessional. Ken was never there to manage the project and never took responsibility. more
