Theres only so much you can do with a thick piece of meat, and this place has figured it out, they take it up a notch. They are nationally renowned for our USDA Prime beef and steakhouse fare. The sides are great and their atmosphere and service will not disappoint. more

I have been to Flemings a few times now, and every time I go back it's even better then the last time. Everything about there menu is delicious, from their extensive wine list to every side orders they offer. Service is great, they really go the extra mile in taking care of their guest. I love everything about this restaurant and definitely will go back as much as I can. more

I went to Fleming's last week with a business group. I thought it was an exceptional dinner. I was very impressed with many aspects of the restaurant. I am a very hard to please steak man, however, they cooked my bone-in ribeye perfectly. I wanted to order a second one. Everything else was delicious too, the appetizers and sides and desert. But, I especially loved the wine selection. What is better than a great ribeye and a glass of Cabernet. The restaurant was a little loud, but that is a my only flaw with the place. I will definitely be back with my wife. more

Last night was my second time going to this restaurant and I'm hooked. I can get my steak and my wife can get her seafood and we both like all the choices for wine. We started at the bar for cocktails and Dan, I think was the bartender's name, was very helpful and friendly. Then we moved to the main dining room for dinner. We had the tenderloin carpaccio and lobster tempura for appetizers. The carpaccio was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. Then for dinner I ordered the prime ribeye and my wife the salmon nicoise salad. My steak was cooked perfect, and I'm very hard to please. The only problem I have with the restaurant is the dark lighting, but I guess that is atmosphere for you. And the parking is a bit of a pain, but it is the Gables. more

I had the pleasure of visiting Flemings this weekend with a good friend of mine and we enjoyed the ambience to the fullest effect. Even though it was Valentine's Day weekend which is one of the busiest weekends for restaurants; the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and Flemings is warm and inviting and the roses on the table adding a little extra to the scene. \r \r My friend and I only feasted on selected appetizers and enjoyed a glass of wine and a martini . The appetizers are only a touch of what is to come of the many entrees offered; it must be pretty amazing. What I recommend is the Carpaccio; thinly sliced beef with a smooth velvety mustard sauce and the puch of there sweet chili calamari. I look forward to visiting Flemings again! more

My bf took me to Flemings last night for a pre-Val dinner. I usually hate going out on this weekend because its insanely crowded and the food takes long, there is a line etc... But at Flemings we were seated right at our reservation time. The place seemed full, but not insane. It was actually nice. Plus, there was a rose on the table! The server helped us pic out a nice bottle of wine from the impressive list. And the food was amazing-- calamari for app, filet MR for dinner-- and it came out in perfect timing. It was really a great experience, I was very impressed for valentines weekend. more

I had heard this place has possibly the best NY strip, so I had to go investigate. A little frightened by the prices we decided to try it out. Your typical nice steakhouse setting, the service was really good. The server was polite & knowledgeable. They set the table with sourdough bread & 2 spreads that were really good. We reviewed the menu & went with what we had intended..steaks! The steaks come with no sides so you have to pick your choice pricey sides. For starters, my wife & I split the Fleming's salad which was pretty good. For sides we chose the snap peas, which were spectacular, snow peas, shallots or red onions, strips of carrots (and maybe some garlic) in a soy sauce & we also ordered the macaroni & cheese which was really good also, the chipotle gave it a nice little kick. Then the steaks, my wife had the filet mignon which she devoured & I had the ny strip. My ny strip was excellent; the beef itself was star here, just cooked with salt & cracked pepper then finished with butter & chopped parsley. The seasonings were there just to enhance the flavor of the steak. The perfectly cooked the beef was tender & I caught myself going "mmm" uncontrollably. I certainly paid top dollar for my food but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be back for some more research on our next special occasion. more

Perfects for Showers! 3/26/2009

My sister had her baby shower at Fleming's. We had a great time! The service was wonderful we had Arlene. The food was perfect. The best part of our experience was the catering manager Christina. We went to three other places in he gables before Fleming's getting prices. As soon as we meet her we knew it was the right place. She gave us a very fair deal and made us comfortable that she was taking care of every details. We honestly never give extra tip but for this party we left more for the service and when we try to give Christina $100 extra dollars for herself she sent us a $100 baby r us gift card with a beautiful letter in the mail. We were shoked! We will neevr forget this wonderful experience. Thank you! Pros: An Incredible Catering Manger Cons: Public Parking only holds two hours more

CitySearch speaks the truth! Best Bartenders in town! 12/22/2008

My wife & I saw that the Fleming's bartenders were voted #1 in Miami, so we had to check it out. Last Friday the bar was packed (thank goodness the bar tables are first-come-first-serve), but the service that Autumn, Beka, Owen & Dan provided made it seem like we were their VIP guests. The wine list is intimidating but the bartenders' wine knowledge and friendliness erased any fears. Dan recommended a truly bold & full-bodied Cabernet and we were not disappointed. We planned on having a drink and going elsewhere for dinner, but that would have been foolish. The atmosphere in the bar was great! The bartenders just kept us laughing and we were having such a blast we stayed to have dinner at the bar. Pros: Ambience & Bartenders Cons: Not open for lunch more

Theres only so much you can do with a thick piece of meat. The first few bites were good untill you get to the overwhelming oil thats been poured over it. The grease flavor takes over which ends that. The side dishes are good, but we didn't go for the side dish. Ladies if your being brought there for a special occasion please do not expect anything else because you just set your spouse back $150.00 for the both of you. Thats for two plates of food and NO COCKTAILS. Although...they are friendly . Pros: The interior looks great Cons: The value is just not in the meal. more

Make sure you make reservations ahead of time or you will be sitting outside by the street. Not that it was bad, but it didn't seem like we were part of the restaurant. Highly recommend the calamari as an appetizer, it comes with peppers and is a new twist on an old favorite. The food was good and service was great! Would go again, but with reservations! Pros: Good Location, Extensive Wine Menu, Good Food Cons: Reservations a Must more

an expensive dinner 11/17/2005

I've always relied on citysearch to give the most accurate breakdown on the restaurants and I've been satisfied for all past selections. However, when I decided on dinner at Fleming's last week, it was not what I had expected to pay. Granted that the food and the ambience were great, (the service could be better) but we weren't expecting to pay close to $150 for 2 people for dinner in a restaurant with two dollar signs ($$). With all that in mind, I'd go back to dine again but I'll know how much it would cost. Pros: ambience, wine selection Cons: no public parking, somewhat expensive, bar area too small more

Best seat in the house 8/28/2005

We had a reservation for dinner and went to the bar for a drink first. The bartenders George and Gabi were so friendly we stayed and had dinner at one of the tables by the bar. It turned out to be the best seat in the house. We were able to see the whole place from our table. The ambiance was great, the food exceptional and ofcourse the service perfect. These two made a great team, we will be back for sure. If you go and there's a table at the bar grab it. Pros: good food, good service, ambiance more
