Flatirons Moving

I used Flatirons Moving recently. The movers were over an hour late coming to my current home that is only minutes away from their location. When they loaded my furniture they were very clumsy. Then, drove to my new house and dropped off almost all of my furniture before the movers took a lunch break. They agreed to take an hour lunch break and meet back at my old home; however they ended up taking three hours. After finally showing up to finish the move they worked extremely slow taking 8 hours to move my 1500 square foot home. Afterward, I unpacked my things and realized that numerous things were missing. I originally assumed that maybe they were just misplaced, but after checking all of my boxes numerous times I realized that around $1,000 of my things were missing. When I called Flatirons Moving to inquire about the missing items they said a representative would call me back. After months and numerous phone calls no one ever got back to me. If you are looking for a moving company DO NOT use Flatirons Moving. more

We have lived in the same house for over 24 years, and were very nervous to move. From the moment we hired Flatirons M&S to do our move, we relaxed. The office staff and movers were polite and easy to work with, and the movers were unbelievably fantastic! They were professional and careful, and made our move very stress-free. We used Flatirons once before and had a good experience. This time, the experience was NOT good. We had two moves - first move was from a house into an apartment/storage, and the second move was from the apartment/storage to another house. For each move, the quote was more than $500 less than the actual cost. For the first move, they did not pick up our hot tub. For the second move, they brought a truck that was TOO SMALL, even though they knew EXACTLY what we were moving from the first move. Apparently, they had a more important office move for which the larger truck was being used. They also had sent 3 guys and realized they needed a 4th for the first move, but then only brought 3 for the second move, which greatly increased our cost. During both moves, at least one piece of furniture was damaged (an end table completely broken, and an expensive armoire deeply chipped in 2 places). Now we are trying to get them to repair the armoire, and they are telling us we need to pay the $250 deductible for their insurance. I do NOT recommend this company. They were not at all attentive to our move, charged us much more than we expected, and now want to charge us to repair the damage they caused.
