Our first experience with Flatbread was in Paia, Maui on vacation. While in Maui I looked at their Web site and was thrilled to find locations around Boston, and that the one on Maui is the exception. You can take a taste of New England to Maui or Maui to New England, whatever your perspective.\r Their dining room is loud and frequently filled with parties and kids. The rustic wood fired pizza oven provided entertainment and heat. The service is good, the pizza is great. If you want a nice very casual sit down pizza place this is for you. The salads are made with fresh wild greens and good, but not super. The pizza is made with fresh local ingredients and their are weekly specials.\r Overall, this is a good place for families or a casual night out. It is great pizza to eat in or take out. I have been to Flatbread several times with my husband and kids. I find the decor a tad strange, but really like the food. They have a really great salad dressing on their house salad and we have always found all their pizzas to be delicious (and the kids love watching the pizzas being cooked in the large oven). It's nice to know that all the ingredients are super fresh and organically good for you. They have some decent organic wines and we have had some pretty good deserts there as well. Great middle of the week place to come with the family, and the service is always very friendly.
