Do not go here, Go to After Hours Veterinary off of Friendly ave. This is a Money machine, money up front or no service. I spent over $5,000 on my dog and I inquired about some symptoms and possible medicine. I was charged Double the prices you find online for the same thing and given half the pill content I was charged for. They wouldn't refund anything. poor service. Like I said, money machine....... Not Pets first. more

My dog's problem started with swelling in her eye. I took her to the CVS ER three times over 1 1/2 weeks as her condition deteriorated. The 3rd time, I had to carry her in, they kept her and decided they were going give an MRI the following morning. In none of the visits was her blood count tested. I'm not a vet, but I know that is one test given early to check for infection. I have family members who are vets and when I told them she was getting the MRI with still no blood work, they suggest taking her to NCSU. I pulled her out the next morning and rushed her to State. She had severe inflammation in the lining of her brain and muscles surrounding her eye. She was diagnosed with Auto Immune disease also and I spent many weeks trying to keep her alive. I am not saying CVS killed my dog, but I certainly lost valuable time when a routine test could have shown a high rate of infection. There are good doctors at this hospital. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience and will not go back. more

Best Emergency Vets in the Triad 9/6/2012

Access to Specialists; Hence the name. They correctly diagnosed a brain tumor that After Hours Veterinary Clinic and Friendly Pet Clinic thought was Epilepsy in about an hour and after the other hacks had milked us for several thousand dollars. Did bring in a dog which had been bitten once and we had to wait a bit too long for the dog to be taken back and evaluated (the poor baby was bleeding all over me and I'm sitting there in the waiting room). But they seem to be the best e-vet in Greensboro. Anything really major, we are going to NC State. more

Sounds like the other poster had a bad experience. We have not. They actually have access to a lot more specialists than the other e-vets. They have neurologists and the like at the Winston location. Greensboro is sorely lacking in the veterinarian department if you ask me, but this is our emergency vet. more

BEWARE OF THIS VETERINARY CENTER - BEWARE!!!!! 3/29/2011

My rating for this so-called veterinary service is minus any star. \r I had an emergency over a weekend & took my dog Lucky to them on Sunday. Dr Michele Purnell (formerly Berry) was the internist that diagnosed him with a liver tumor on Monday. After careful thought I decided to go with surgery as it was his only chance. Tuesday morn i was advised the surgeon was too busy - so Tues night I brought Luck home to spend the night here. Wed morn he lost bowel control and his tongue was hanging out of his mouth - i rushed him over by 8 am. Dr Purnell looked @ him and said nothing is wrong - go home, we'll call you. She called an hr later and said he was bleeding internally and they'd give him blood. (9 am). I called later in the morning to see how he was and when the surgery would be - was told again - the surgeon was too busy and he was resting. At 2 pm i got a phone call from Dr Purnell - she said "i have some concerning news, no, it's more than concerning, Lucky has passed away". I was sh more
