We are most impressed that Oregon City has an upscale restaurant/bar. Make no mistake; it's cozy, quaint, warm and inviting. The service is very kind and responsive to your needs. The staff are most accommodating. The salads are extremely good. The Oregon Blue was a nice blend of mixed greens with toasted hazelnuts, pears and blue cheese (a little steep at 7 1/2 clams for the area, but very nicely done). The entrees are plentiful in portion and priced right. Our table had various dinners: lamb, steak medallions w/cambonzola, seafood. All entress were delicious. The lamb received highest praise and the other dishes were tender, tasty and succulent! They have various sides which the chef choses for each entree (the starch), but you can ask for substitution, they are most willing to please. Dessert was nice, mostly all made on site and what an effort the pasty chef has made, a job well done! You can tell they are new, still getting their feet wet and trying new things, be patient with this diamond in the rough. Now on to the most important part: the WINE list. The prices are NOT outrageous (Thank you!). The friendly wine steward is not pretentious and has selected some great local as well as choices from afar. We are wine geeks, ourselves and appreciate good selection at a fair price. As long as they keep their prices this competitive, we'll become regulars. It's a rare thing when a place doesn't charge 200% or more mark up on a bottle of wine, trust me, they don?t rip you off here. If we have to make a complaint here goes: the plates are not hot/warmed, so the food cools quickly. Hot plates would be a bonus. Some of the dishes were a bit salty, and the main entry is a little rough and offers little waiting area to sit. Otherwise, we will continue to induldge and come back often. Thanks for a special treat, our night was great and we recommend Flambe!!! Please keep your wine prices reasonable!!!
Pros: Wine List prices-very reasonable, starters, entrees and desserts. Service is excellent and friendly
Cons: Entry needs some sprucing up, cold plates for hot food
