Recently we were referred to 5 hole sports to purchase some hockey equipment for our son. The experience at the store was some of the worse customer service I have experienced. The person that waited on us was rude, pushed only the most expensive things, and tried to oversell us on everything. Even with the bad experience we purchased close to $400 in equipment from the shop. Later that day when talking to a good friend about our purchases, he said that he had some equipement that his son used to use. In trying to returns a set of pads to the store we were informed that they would not credit back our credit card, but only give a store credit. I was not returning everything, only $119 of our $400 purchase. The owner of the store refused to process a credit to our card. It is not the fact that he did not credit the card, it was the tone and wording that he used. Since then we have continued purchasing equipment for both our sons that play hockey and have found other places that are welcoming, and a lot cheaper. I compared prices of equipment that we have bought and found 5 hole the most expensive (by tens of dollars not just cents) on absolutely everything. High prices and terrible customer service is a horrible combination. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!
