The Atlanta market for fair, friendly, CLEAN and cost worthy fitness memberships are few and far between! Fitness International has been around 20 years or more and you do not stay in business by not maintaining a clean club or treat people right! So in response to the latest review for one of the best fitness clubs left in the Atlanta (Lawrenceville) area, Fitness International is my choice and the last review gave a very false impression! I have been a member at this club in Lawrenceville for over 10 years and with all the other workout places going up in the area I would never consider joining another gym anywhere. The facility is ALWAYS clean and the staff is extremely friendly, a very comfortable family atmosphere. The aerobics program and instructors are the best I have seem and I have been taking aerobics for many years, these instructors are unbeatable!! I have also taking water aerobics classes there and the pool is great, water temp. good and over 20 people in water classes every time I have been. I have not used the personal trainers but something must be right, they are always training clients. This club is full service with a spa, juice bar and kids programs. Lastly, I do not know the owner personally, but who cares what he drives! My hat is off to him, thanks for a great workout facility---keep up the good work! Be prepared for anything. One day everything is clean and working, and then the next day just the opposite. The owner cut the staff's salaries and then cut the number of workers, yet he goes to Vegas quite often. The pool's temperature is usually in the upper 70's to 80. Yet you are told by manger when you join that the temp will be a consistent 84. Be prepared to be hot in the summer and cold in the winter since the ac/heating is a joke in some areas such as the wet area, dressing rooms, pool, and basketball court. The personal trainers charge $30 per hour and are not that great. Handicap parking in the morning is full--often the owner parks his Hummer in one of these spaces; sometimes a small trailer is left in the area for days.
