New name, new location, same awesome church! 6/18/2011

I ran across the above review and wanted to add that Fishers of Men is now the Center of Hope on 1216 Venice Avenue E. They are growing and doing more amazing things! They have soup kitchen on Saturdays, food pantry, free clothes and an extensive social services program. The offices for that are next to the church at 1214 E. Venice Ave. I volunteer at the soup kitchen every Saturday and go to the church and it's just the best church I've ever been to with some of the kindest people. The band is still great and the sermons inspirational. They webcast now too. If you ever wanted a church that really tries to do what Jesus said to do, this is the place! more

What A Huge Amount of Faith In A Small Church!!! 8/15/2009

Fishers of Men Church is the first Christian Church I feel completely comfortable in. I've never belonged to a church that I felt a part of, and this church and the members welcomed my family and made us feel like we have always belonged there. The services are very inspirational. They are not traditional 45 minute services, they are more informative and educational. I have learned so much about what God has planned for me and my life and how important the Bible is. They also have a wonderful live band that plays and sings before worship. I would recommend Fishers of Men Church to anyone who is seeking a connection to God through a small organization with a huge spiritual presence. Pros: Very Honest, Loving and Spiritual more
