I went into fishermans hardware last week to look around being that I had not been in the shop for months. I was pleasantly suprised by the new found customer service in the store...

Worst

The owner of this store has displayed the worst customer service I've encountered anywhere. Pros: good employees Cons: sly owneer

Commitment to customers 9/22/2010

In contrast to other reviews attacking the owner and stores customer service, this week my wife and I spent several hours across multiple days with the staff and I with the owner, Jim, for a couple of hours reviewing our current tackle for repairs, upgrades etc. and found his customer service and knowledge to be far superior to any I've received from other local shops. That the final assembly of all repair reels is either overseen or performed by the owner in a business with plenty of capable staff speaks volumes to Jim’s commitment to customers. more

Love this Place 9/15/2010

My son and I love this place. My son is only 9 years of age but has the knowledge of an adult when coming to fishing. The men here treat him just like one of the guys. We mailnly do salt water fishing but we also fish fresh water. This store has everything and if you cant find what you need just ask one of the guys they will always be helpful and honest. They tell you what works and what doesnt. I am always learning. Thanks guys!!? more

Jim (the owner) at times is blunt, opinionated, and can come accross as harsh, but I'm not standing in his shoes. I LOVE his store, You owe it to yourself to visit his store, and if you're like me you will appreciate him and his depth of knowledge, and interest in you as a customer. more

Far ahead of local competition 9/7/2010

In June we stopped by Pacific Edge & Mako Matt’s for licenses only to be told no one around has any left. I was not surprised to find Fisherman’s Hardware HB had plenty. Their commitment to maintaining inventory while others have cut back puts them far ahead of the local competition. more
