I went into fishermans hardware last week to look around being that I had not been in the shop for months. I was pleasantly suprised by the new found customer service in the store...

Very happy with the customer service 7/18/2011

I went into fishermans hardware last week to look around being that I had not been in the shop for months. I was pleasantly suprised by the new found customer service in the store. A year or so ago I went in the store quite often and was turned off by the people working there. They where not friendly and treated me like I wasn't cool enough to shop in their store. The guys working in there now are great. I was instantly helped by one of the guys and he went above and beyond to help me. I ended up purchasing a $400 reel that I was up in the air about buying and am very happy with it. I will be once again shopping at Fisherman's hardware. more

Great selection 7/12/2011

i went into the shop last saturday morning ... asked for someone that knew about alijos rocks tuna and yellowtail fishing.. was then introdused to another employee. he was very knowlegable and walked me thru the reasons for using certain reels with certain lb. tests. etc etc etc. he didn't try to sell me the store. great selection also. more

This place is great. 7/8/2011

I went there looking to buy my dad a new reel and rod, and the guys there totally helped me out. I actually asked them questions for about two hours and they never got annoyed, in fact it seemed that they were happy to help. I tried out the bait they gave me that same day and it worked like charm. I recommend this place to everyone looking to buy fishing gear. more

In contrast to other reviews attacking the owner and stores customer service, this week my wife and I spent several hours across multiple days with the staff and I with the owner, Jim, for a couple of hours reviewing our current tackle for repairs, upgrades etc. and found his customer service and knowledge to be far superior to any I've received from other local shops. That the final assembly of all repair reels is either overseen or performed by the owner in a business with plenty of capable staff speaks volumes to Jim’s commitment to customers. more

Nice inventory and employees 3/1/2011

Jim is very smart, and knowledgeable about fishing. Remaining profitable in business, particularly retail is difficult at best. Jim is handling his business better than most; nice inventory, employees more

Inventory was plentiful 2/16/2011

In June we stopped by Pacific Edge & Mako Matt’s for licenses only to be told no one around has any left. I was not surprised to find Fisherman’s Hardware HB had plenty. Their commitment to maintaining inventory while others have cut back puts them far ahead of the local competition more

My son and i love this place 2/11/2011

My son and I love this place. My son is only 9 years of age but has the knowledge of an adult when coming to fishing. The men here treat him just like one of the guys. We mailnly do salt water fishing but we also fish fresh water. This store has everything and if you cant find what you need just ask one of the guys they will always be helpful and honest. They tell you what works and what doesnt. I am always learning. Thanks guys!!? more

I return to Fisherman’s Hardware HB for their knowledge, service and selection 12/21/2010

Having attempted to do business with most of the local shops I find year after year I return to Fisherman’s Hardware HB for their knowledge, service and selection. While other shops have cut back to one or no employees beyond the owner, Fisherman’s Hardware continues to fully staff this huge shop with knowledgeable fishermen AND they're open 7 days a week! more

great store with large selection 12/15/2010

I have been going to Fishermans Hardware in HB for a couple of years now , I like the store and the Large selection of not only big brand names but also the attention to detail of the not so famous name brands. I have taken in my beat up, broken up rods and reels and they have managed to find the parts to fix em. I only fish once or twice a week now but its nice to be able to get what you need when you need it and not have to wait for the Fed-Ex guy the next day if you boat leaves out of S.D. tonight more
