This place was awesome for variety and help, but alas, it's empty and closed. more

You don't really want to buy anything here unless you absolutely can't get it anywhere else. A $2 can of spray Rustoleum at Home Depot was $8.50 at Fischer! While they do carry some unusual items they tend to maintain a low stock. Went in to get 2 valve seats for a faucet and they only had one. A quick glance through the bins and racks of parts showed that "1" was the preferred stock quantity. more

After having stood in the plumbing isle at Home Depot for over an hour trying to figure out a plumbing issue, and having seen no less than four Home Depot employees walk by without offering to help, I left and went to Fischer Hardware. Within (literally) 30 seconds of walking in, I was asked if I needed help finding anything. I was speechless for a moment, but once I composed myself, the Fischer Hardware employee led me to the right isle, and helped me select the appropriate items to complete my plumbing project, and to code, no less! The entire visit took only about 5 minutes. The prices of most items are comparable to the big guys, and for those that are slightly higher, I am more than willing to pay for due to the quick & extremely friendly, and knowledgeable service attained. Fischer's has a customer for life! more

If you are tired of the usual hassle of the big warehouse tool/harware departments - Fischer's is the place for you. We typically end up there after getting the run around or 'no answer' from one of the big chains. The staff is very knowledeable and helpful. They also offer products that are not typically carried by other stores (e.g., they carried a attic gable vent size that we couldn't find elsewhere). They cater to this area which is really nice. more

This is literally the neighborhood hardware store. The store is located in a strip mall and the selection of items are not many, but they get the work done. The salesperson are knowledgeable and friendly with beats out the major brand home improvement stores that seen to spout out almost everywhere. Actually, I think people go to Fischer's to get advice and with good advice, the store gets customer loyalty. more

If you can't find something in a local big warehouse home improvement store, you will probably find it at Fischers. Not only do they stock unique items, but they also have staff that is knowledable and willing to help. If you have a question they will answer it and will even help you find a product elsewhere if they don't stock it. Parking is good. more
