I did my refinance twice with a loan officer in Chesterland, Ohio. The process went very smooth and I was educated on the process on both occasions. We did some work for the company. After the deal didnt work when they recived the appraisal value they refused to pay, but not at first first they wanted us to lower our fees, now they still wont pay or answer emails. Pros: I would give them a negative Cons: Un trust worthy more

I have refinanced a few times in the last 20 years. I have to say that Doug and his team in the Westlake branch were great. They explained the entire process and flow in detail. I received regular updates with the progress of my refinance. I dealt with Vince and Chris who work with Doug, they were always prompt at returning calls quickly, but more importantly helped to educate me on the differences in programs as well as helping me to understand how interest rates are actually effected. My refinance was completed in about 6 weeks, the rate and payment were right on target with what I was told at the very start. Doug sent me a very informative CD on credit and how it is scored. I would recomend you speak to Doug, or one of his team members before moving forward with anyone else. Very good experience, I would recomend to friends and family. more

like the other reviewer i have been working on a simple refi on a second mortgage, getting us a lower interest rate.it has officially been 3 months and we still have no closing every friday for 3 months there is a problem then every monday there is new hope but friday is coming!!! our loan person WILL NOT CALL when he says he will call, his i'll call you in 10 minutes turns into an hour or more,and i usually break down and call him, which has cost me close to $50 per month in phone bills extra. we started with a %7.25 rate well that cannot be honored now. and it is always we have it and we will close tonight, well tonight comes and goes and no closing. this past week it was everything is approved but they dont offer this program anymore so they are having difficulty funding the loan, then guess what friday i get the message we have it we will be sending docs to the closer any time now. then all of a sudden the loan person disappears from the planet wont answer calls at all, then late friday a text message sorry my phone died, so i try to call and get the story now, no answer. saturday morning another text message""we will have a yes or no today"". WHAT!!!!!! we are past YES or NO its funding time, or is somebody lying to me? but here i sit saturday night he wont answer his phone he wont answer a text NOTHING so i guess I am on hold untill tuesday again and the ONLY reason i am still putting up with this is my loan person has done a lot of personal investing of time and money to get this done,and i understand how screwed up the market is right now, but I am sick of not getting my phone calls, especially when I am promised he wont forget to call!!!! more

First Ohio Bank of Lending is one of the worst banks for service. The loan manager had PROMISED and GUARENTEED me of a certain rate and a closing date. Not only have I been lied to, he resigned from the company in the middle of my loan. They make all sorts of promises and DO NOT KEEP THEM. It has taken 3 months and I'm STILL not done, and only stayed because I had paid $$$ for a home appraisal and can't get it back. They never call when they say they will, and I don't want to see any family go through what we have had to endure. Cons: TO MANY TO MENTION more
