From past experience with daycares I 5/20/2012

From past experience with daycares I had low expectations especially considering some reviews. But I'm very impressed and very pleased with the care they put into my child. This IS more than just a daycare and having tried it I can't understand any bad reviews. First Class is going to be a big help this summer. more

I've read book after book on the 5/19/2012

I've read book after book on the developing brain and needed a place that would provide proper stimulation for when I'm not with my baby. First Class Learning is that place. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place that will help care for their children. (AP19, good call on city search!) more

Camms, I appreciate every day that you 5/19/2012

Camms, I appreciate every day that you recommended FCL. It's a great help to my wife and I, and our children love it. It gets 4 stars because no place is as good as home. But words aren't enough when you find people that value your children the way you do, and not much needs to be said when people do such a wonderful job. If you need a daycare that actually cares, try First Class Learning. Wow, spite is here too. It's worst, by the way. Not, the worse. I'm glad you aren't teaching my children. more

Check out DHS!! First Class is THE WORSE DAYCARE in Oklahoma 3/13/2012

#1 - to all the good reviews. Im sure the owners appreciate you doing what they asked for you to do and write good reviews for them, but you've sincerely made a huge mistake. #2 - as someone who used to work here and knows everything from when you walk through the door to their background/concern of the children... they could care less. These brothers are just in it for money. In fact, money (your money you pay) that you think is going to your child's learning/the center is going to their own personal use that they can write off as a ""business expense"". Would you leave your child with a rock to watch them all day? Because that might be a better idea than leaving them with a place ran by two brothers who could lose at an IQ test with said rock. Teachers that work there may be good - teach your children with love & passion - but notice, no one stays very long. And the brothers will lie to you why they left as well. In fact, they tried to fight against my unemployment when i filed it, we went to court, they LIED and acted like they didnt even know who i was, but luckily my lawyer had enough evidence. Even the judge asked what daycare center this was and that he would never send his child to a place like this let alone to a place that the owner lied straight to his face. They don't like for children to put up their art on the windows, they have recently left kids in the vans, and yell at the kids. I pick up a family of kids at one of the PC schools where they pick up and the kids always look like they are walking to their death. One kid started to run out in the street and the teacher yelled at him and asked if he was ""stupid"". The drivers are always on their cell phone when they drive They told me once when I treatened to quit, that ""it wouldnt hurt them"". What they pay me ""is not Im worth and me leaving wouldnt affect anyone."" It used to be a Christian based LEARNING center, and they promised the precious owner they would keep it this way. They lied. They said Christianity isnt for everyone and they could get way more money with it not being Christian. So if you dont mind taking your kids to a daycare ran by a pile of dog crap...I mean a couple of brothers whose intelligence in childcare is way below negative zero, are dishonest with you, your child & your money, then First Class might be for you. If not - there are way better daycares, learning centers, sitters out there to watch your child(s). In fact, I have a piece of wood that would watch and care for your child more than they do. Dont believe me? Think parents weren't pushed into giving a good review? Check out the DHS reviews of this place. I promise you will really see how this place is ran. In fact, I think the Will Rogers Airport runway would be a safer place to put your child then in tha hands of these two imbicles. more

I'm a big fan of this place! People 3/9/2012

I'm a big fan of this place! People make the difference in everything and they have great people! I don't feel bad about when I have to go to school anymore and I feel like my daughter is learning as I am: all the time! (Response to ""ljvbm"": They didn't ask for good reviews. They just said if you like what we do, write a review. Since FCL helps me out so much, I was moved to do so. Also, you are suggesting I was either bought, bullied, or that my daughter is a liar. I have received no money or incentives, I cannot be bullied, and my daughter is brutally honest, like most children. It escapes me why you wouldn't know of the brutal honesty children have, as it is obvious you are an ex-employee, which means you worked with children and do not understand them. Reading through these reviews, it's easy to see you wrote all of the bad ones. The style, grammar, and anger are the same. That's too bad.) more

Gushing a little... 3/8/2012

A place I would recommend to anyone searching for a daycare. A good atmosphere and lovely, dedicated staff. They go the extra two miles! more

Every kind of awesome 3/7/2012

I wish my parents had known about a place like this when I was a kid, but I'm glad I learned about it for my child and hopefully future children. I go to work every day confident that my lady bug is in good hands. more

First Class Learning 8/29/2011

Coming from a teacher that worked at this daycare for the summer and plans to return next summer I'd like to give insight to this daycare. First off, the owners, Rocky and Casey have never bullied myself, and I have never heard any of the teachers complaing about being bullied by them. They are pleasant and nice to be around when they come in to check up on the daycare. They do buy things to better the daycare, but that's why they buy them. To better the daycare, to give the kids an enviornment that is enjoyable to be in! As a student in early childhood education, children thrive in an enviornment that they feel comfortable and safe in, and I feel that the owners have done a good job of providing that. In regards to the changes to directors, it is unfortunate that they've had to change directors so much lately, but I can assure you that the current director, Dr. Sue Greenfield is more than qualified for what she's doing. She's been in the school system for a while, and she is concerned about the kids and following the rules to make the daycare safe and regulated for the kids. If you'd like to hear her qualifications, call the daycare and ask, she'd be more than happy to let you know. At her side is Christy who is one of the sweetest and most capable people to be assisting Dr. Sue with office work. All the kids and staff love Christy and she would do anyting for your children. As for the food, I have worked in the kitchen, and gloves ARE used, during the cooking and the serving. The food is kept hot/cold when appropriate and served promplty. They're given a meat, vegetable, and fruit and grains. They give out menus so that if a child does not want what's given or the parent wants their child to eat something else, they can send food with that child. I've worked and been in every classroom in the facility and all the teachers there love the kids and are dedicated to your child's development and learning. They have lesson plans that they turn in weekly that focus on the physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive development. They love and care for these children or else they wouldn't be allowed to work here. This daycare is striving to meet and go beyond DHS regulations and requirements to provide a first class quality child care for your child. I have first hand experience, and I personally love each and every child that came through those doors, and this daycare is one to take your children to. more

Bullies 6/28/2011

Its very unfortunate that there guys bought this company because there have been and still are some really fantastic teachers at this centers, but I've heard from teachers that they are bullies. They threaten people with their jobs and frequently remind them that they're replaceable. And keep other teachers who aren't there for the kids so they can tell them what's going on when they're not around. These owners think by buying things like flat screens, will make parents want to stay. They are arrogant and have no clue how to run a child care center/learning center. It is my understanding that they have another business that is related to the public schools and have lied to get things there too. All the reviews I have read on here about the owners and they way they treat people, I have heard many times before from teachers. They made a mistake eating rid of the previous directors because they were great. I can't say the same for now. If you are looking into taking your child here I suggest coming in and staying in the classroom for awhile so you can see what's really going on. Teachers are stressed and unhappy. Management is detached. Owners are awful and bully people to run their business. more

Very Concerning! ZERO stars was my preferred rating. 5/26/2011

OWNERS/FACULTY:\r There is something very concerning about the owners of this facility. They don’t even have a background in childcare. They are brothers and they would often ""hang"" around the facility in suits looking very awkward and out of place. Trying very hard to SEEM pleasant/conversational yet it felt very forced. Rather fabricated/superficial.\r 3 directors in less than a year: Amber really cared about the children. Smiled and greeted them and families at the door - worked with them on homework - very involved and kind demeanor. Sudden change in behavior (short, not interactive, rushed) perhaps from abuse/ pressure from the owners then suddenly she was fired. \r Next director, Paige - same pattern as Amber: additional pressures or things going on behind the scenes. Obvious change in behavior from a parent that paying attention. A teacher (who is also no longer with this facility) advised that Paige was crying from the abuse. No surprise that the teacher who also cared very much about the children (while rather opinionated and probably too strong-willed for the owners' taste) was ALSO fired.\r Latest director - Jessica. Very young, inexperienced, and TACKY. Lots of attitude and snide remarks. Un-professional and loud: yelling across the facility at children or faculty instead of simply walking over and speaking in a natural/professional tone. She does not smile or greet children/parents. Come into her office and she may not even look up at you much less the children. Very reminiscent of a teen girl going through a phase of un-necessary attitude and frankly she may very well be a teen. Threatens children with scare tactics: ""If you don't behave I will call your parents."" I hope you have open dialogue with your child because you will never receive a phone call. If your child is injured or hit by another child you will never know. \r My child often came back with reports of how the staff would discuss their inappropriate personal lives over breakfast and lunch. A teacher's favorite song was 'Fly like a G6' (not the kind of music you want your child asking about b/c their teacher likes it) - all of which have nothing to do with what children have come to learn and accomplish.\r MENU/FOOD:\r Children at the facility are required to bring their own WATER if they want something to drink with their snack or after they have come inside from running/playing\r . I have never heard of such a thing as with-holding WATER from growing children at a daycare/learning facility.\r Food handlers & gloves - no need for gloves when the majority of the food served to the children is PACKAGED and PROCESSED (high fructose corn syrup/ saturated fat anyone?) \r - Sugar and calories-blueberry/banana nut muffins for breakfast (like at a truck stop or 7 Eleven).\r - PB&J sandwiches or microwavable chicken nuggets for lunch (so balanced and nutritious)\r - Snack - (more) packaged/processed chocolate brownies, cheese-its, or goldfish (juvenile diabetes? OK already sits at the top of many lists in regards to child obesity). \r - Ill-prepared staff they just order in MCDONALDS!!! (Super-Size me?) UNACCEPTABLE/OUTRAGEOUS!\r - The food sits out openly before it is served to the children. My child complained of the bread being ""hard and dry"" (hence stale from excessive air exposure).\r ***My child has never been sick so often than when he attended this facility. Eating habits changed at home - less willing to eat. The menu alone is a grave indication of how much they don’t care about the children and the families they service.\r Where does your $145.00 p/wk go (rate is for 1 child in PK)? A few flat screen TVs. Laminate wood flooring (well half of the floor was completed). No known investments in the children IE a water fountain, cook, experienced/caring staff. ALL VERY CONCERNING! Please share this information with anyone considering this place and think twice. more

Not a ""Daycare"" 7/12/2010

When we lost our childcare facility we went to great lengths to find another facility within the same scope. There are not many non-church affiliated facilities that can say they are “Christian based” – First Class is! Amber and her employees pride themselves in not being called a ""Daycare"". They are excited about educating children and it shows. This summer my son has had weekly bible class, science class, math class, and numerous external activities! I actually got reprimanded one day for picking him up “too early”. That is always something you like to hear from your child ;). The staff is approachable, genuine, and concerned about safety of the children. I have referred friends to First Class and will continue to do so!! Pros: The staff, the staff, the staff!! more

Above average - more than a daycare 6/16/2010

First Class is a first class facility. I have three children in three separate age groups (2, 5, & 7). Each of them experiences unique learning opportunities. The directors and teachers are very approachable and easy to contact. The summer activities are well planned and meaningful. There is a lot of space for the kids to move around. The staff makes me feel like my kids are the most special ones there and I think other parents feel the same way.\r \r They also go out of their way to support their staff members. This tells me that they care about everyone. I feel blessed to have found this facility for my children and I would gladly refer others. Pros: Large facility, caring staff, diverse activities more

NOT just a daycare, but a true developmental facility!!!! 6/25/2008

Mrs. Wilson has an amazing center, very caring, faith based, structured learning, fun environment. They learn, grow and develop all year long and not just schoo subjects, but things like respect, joy, kindness, giving. A truly well rounded enriched learning enviornment all year long. Each of my daughter's teacher has been very communicative and willing to share information, not to mention the genuine caring of the children. My daughter would rather go to school (1st Class) than go on a vacation day with me because she doesn't want to miss anything that is going on in her class. She gets very upset when she has to miss any time there....truly amazing. The activities in the summer time are fabulous...skating, swimming, library....you get the idea. They learn about a wide range of things and my daughter has actually come home and taught me a few things! There continued learning and preparation for the next school year has tremendously helped my daughter. She is in the top three readers out of 18 students at her elementary school and this is due to the continued learning and building that first class does. Our family has been so blessed to have found 1st class. What a wonderful place to shape the minds of our children and their thoughts about their future career in schools. Amazing, Amazing and a blessing. Pros: Very willing to share information and work with families. Faith based Cons: If your child misses a few days and there is an activity planned you don't have anyway to know about it, then it may be too late. more
