Firestone Complete Auto Care

I don't even think this place deserves 1 star. I went in to get a flat repair and have them do my emissions and inspection. They told me it would be 4 hours and they would call me when it was done. I waited 5 hours with no call...finally called them and they told me they hadn't finished, but they did get my oil changed. I told them I didn't ask for an oil change because I had just gotten it changed a week ago. The guy apologized and asked if he could keep my car over night to finish the repair. I told him I would pick it up in the morning. When I arrived, they informed me that they didn't know i needed my tire repaired and it would be another 40 min. I went and ran some errands for 1 hour came back, and the guy told me he didn't think I would be back so soon and so they hadn't started on my car yet and it would be another 40 min. I left again.. came back, paid for my inspection. 30 min after I left, the guy called and told me he forgot to give me the papers for my inspection and that they had ran out of stickers so i now needed to come back, get my papers, and go to the DMV to finish my registration. The next day, I got in my car and my tire, that they supposedly fixed... was flat. After they had my car for 30 hours... to do a simple flat repair and get my emissions done... the work was still not complete. I will NEVER be going back to this place again. I am taking my car to Firestone to get serviced and for inspection purposes! I met Brandon, the Service Advisor, after I went to a franchise tire store close to the Jiffy Lube that failed the car on various grounds; 1) alleging the brake pads were worn (quoting $189 for new pads and installation), 2) bad wipers, and 3) a loose battery. First, one wiper somehow was loose nd it just had to be put in place! How could they have missed that ... and barely used. I went for a second opinion and they said the pads were fine!! I returned to the original source and asked for the Highway Patrol to make the decision, they then said it was not that the pad was worn, the problem was that the pads were old and starting to crumble. I went for a third opinion, at Firestone. Brandon explained things and suggested a change was in order and quoted me $139. That is a competitive price, rather than a ""gotcha price"". The work was done well. I returned to the other franchise and they remarked that I should have come a day earlier because the highway patrol was around; they had my tel number and never bothered to call to say ""let's see what UT HPatrol thinks"". I will not step foot in that other franchise ever; I could say more. The point is that Firestone came in and explained and delivered great customer service at a competitive price! I recommend Brandon and his team. This is the second time they have delivered. So get your car inspected there, they will educate you (not mock you), as well as your tires and regular service. more
