Firestone Complete Auto Care

I took my 2006 vehicle here for an inspection and a headlight replacement. I was told that I needed a new tie rod in order for the vehicle to pass inspection and that there was "a lot of play" in my steering. WHAT A JOKE!!! In the meantime I called around and found out that they were trying to WAY overcharge me. Needless to say I refused to have them fix it and therefore my vehicle "failed" inspection. \r I went to pick up my vehicle and was told my total was $65.00!! When I asked them why, I was told, the price of the inspection and $14.00 for the headlight and $26.00 for the "labor" on it. $26.00 to screw in a headlight?? wow! Was I charged that because I refused the tie rod?? This place is the worst place I have EVER taken my vehicle to and will NOT be returning. I will also tell all of my 400 co-workers to never go there either. I feel like they tried to take advantage of me being a woman and walking in without a man. I needed an inspection and new tires, so I went to this Firestone to get it all done in one shot. They attempted to overcharge me for a side lightbulb replacement, so I haggled a bit to bring down the price. They also made me come back TWICE for a particular part - something they realized after they started working on my car. They didn't have the part the first time, which was understandable, so I came in when they got the part in stock. I stayed for over and hour, only to be told that they actually ordered the WRONG part, and I had to come back again after they got it. So I returned again and finally got the part fixed. I was not compensated for this inconvenience, and thinking in retrospect I really should have been, considering all the time and money I put into it. They did the job, but it was a hassle. I don't really recommend this place unless you have no other choice. more
