Fireplug Inn

I was hesitant about boarding my Cocker Spaniel however, he jumped out my arms to play. After a 3 day stay I can tell he fell in love with this place. They bathed him and even sent him home with a cute Halloween bandana. I live in Duncanville and I have no problem driving to Southlake, and will FOREVER use this place for boarding/daycare purposes. more

My three-year old Yorkie has been groomed at the Fireplug since she was a puppy. They do a great job, and I love that it is so open and free. When they go in for grooming, they can stay and play all day, which is perfect for me. I drop her off before work and pick her up at the end of the day (the day of ""doggy daycare"" is included in the price of grooming). The Fireplug is priced about the same as other services in the area, but the staff is great - attentive and they know my dog by name - and I love that the dogs don't have to sit in a kennel most of the day! Instead they get to play with other dogs their size. Also, the groomer uses local products that are made in Grapevine and has a great oatmeal bath for sensitive skin. I love the Fireplug Inn for my little dogs. They have plenty of room to roam around - even a TV Room! They are treated like home (read spoiled) and watched like a hawk. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs there for an extended weekend trip - knowing that there weren't any bigger dogs there to bully them. I have a small dog and have always worried about boarding him. I had boared him once and they did a great job but I was told he fought with the bigger dogs so when I had to take just him to be boarded due to a guest who was allergic to dogs- Fireplug Inn was the place. Fireplug Inn only takes smaller dogs. That is dogs that are less than 25 pounds. I think it is a great idea for people who have small dogs that think they are big dogs (like mine)!! The staff was wonderful and the place was very clean. I was impressed with the facilities and the amount of space they had for the little dogs. The price was average for the area and the activities they supply the dog. You can also take your dog there for day care. The Fireplug Inn was created especially for small dogs (25 lbs and under). Small dogs are more comfortable with dogs their own size and they love playing with each other. If you need to board your precious dog, this is the place to do so. They also offer daycare,a great alternative for only dogs.
