Been twice. Super cozy atmosphere, with intimate rooms all adjoining work area. You see fire occasionally from the kitchen. It's very, very good. We ordered the same each time, and the food is good. I wish I had more experience to relate. Ravioli is worth trying. Very accommodating staff, very friendly. Good service. I'm going to go back again when I'm ready.

We have been going for more than two years, and the food is consistently very good. They know how to cook pasta, the sauce is decent. Their meat dishes tend to be outstanding. Their bread strips with sauce are ADDICTIVE - really very excellent.
CONS: They have expanded and added a new seating area in the back that we tried tonight. Our first impression was CAFETERIA. The original seating areas were cozy. The new one is a big rectangular room with little interest and lots of tables. You look up and see a flat screen TV (yuk) and the backs of all the people who are waiting by the bar (and an odd table stuck in the middle of the floor). It's akward, uncomfortable and lacks charm. Because of all the flat surfaces and huge tile floor the acoustics are HORRIBLE. I actually have a headache from all the noise, an hour later. My wife and I literally had to shout at one another while dining. I will be requesting and waiting for a seat in the old area from now on.
Also, a couple of criticisms about the food. Why do some things so wonderfully, and fall flat on others? For example, the Filet came with a side of broccoli. I LOVE broccoli, if it's made with a little imagination. They just put plain steamed broccoli on the plate - the kind you would expect at a macrobiotic restaurant. Why not blanch it then saute with some garlic and sea salt? Or, if you want to think outside the box you could even use some quality soy sauce. I find foibles like this just weird when you are paying $26 for a plate of food... Also, their risotto IS NOT RISOTTO. It came out almost as dry and fluffy as a normal pot of steamed white rice. Either the chef has never had a good dish of risotto, or it's not his area of interest. Either excuse is invalid. Notwithstanding, the consistency of the bread, sauce, pasta and meat keep us coming back. You should go and decide for yourself.
Pros: atmosphere, food, people
Cons: ...?
