Fingertips of La Jolla

It became too expensive to drive to my ""regular"" nail salon out in Carmel Valley, so I started looking online for a new nail salon to go to. I read about Fingertips, saw their rave reviews, and gave it a shot! WOW! What a fantastic salon. It is small and cozy, and very calm. You don't get the sense that they are rushing to get to the next client. In fact, Elle books an hour and a half for each appointment she makes! They really take their time and make sure that your nails look PERFECT. It's nice to know that they take their work seriously and are true professionals. The quality of their work is reflected on your fingers when you walk out of the salon -- I have had my gel nails last for three weeks without chipping or lifting. That's incredible! Not only is the environment relaxing, but it is also FUN. Elle and Tawny engage their customers in conversation,and it is not uncommon for everyone in the salon to be chiming in on a topic. I have been to many salons around the San Diego area and I could never find one that I wanted to return to. I finally found La Jolla FingerTips and I will never go anywhere else ever again. They are very friendly and helpful. Their service is great and they do a wonderful job. Unlike most places, La Jolla Fingertips Salon cares about the health of your nails and tries to improve the quality of your nails. I give the salon 2 thumbs up! Pros: 2 Thumbs UP! more

I have been to so many manicure/pedicure salons and when I found Fingertips in La Jolla Village...well, there's just no comparison! Elle at FINGERTIPS is the most creative, professional manacurist I've ever had. And of course, the number one concern, FINGERTIPS IS ALWAYS CLEAN! From the pedicure basins to the manicure tables you know you're ""in good AND safe hands""! I will never go to another salon to get my nails done. And yes, another benefit, ENGLISH IS SPOKEN HERE! Whereas at so many other salons, all you hear is laughing and back-n-forth Vietnamese talk, here at FINGERTIPS in La Jolla English is the preferred language. Hey, I love language, but when someone at so many of the other salons doesn't understand even the basics of what I'm asking it's frustrating. At FINGERTIPS it's just such a joy to be able to be understood and be in and out in a reasonable time. All you people going to Nail Time and Spa, come over to FINGERTIPS and see and feel the difference! FINGERTIPS is also much cheaper! Here, Fingertips isn't trying to put new tips on you all the time and the prices are so very reasonable. I couldn't believe the first time Elle did my nails. After spending a very creative hour on a design I wanted, so beautifully detailed, she told me the price and I about fainted. I gave her a $20.00 ""tip"" because at the ""other"" salon, the cost would've been twice, sometimes 3x's as much. more

I went with my girlfriend for my first manicure and pedicure. I had a good experiences the girls were very sweet and they did a great job. It felt really clean and my girlfriend like it too. It's a very comfortable place I didnt feel a bit weird there. The next time my girlfriend comes and get her nails done I'll be sure to come along with her. more

I went to Fingertips with my wedding party...we had a wonderful experience. There were 10 of us and so we booked as a private party. It was so cozy and comfortable- there were a few girls who took care of all of us and they were so much fun and didn't at all talk around you (like I'm sure many people have experienced at other nail spas) but rather made us feel very at home. I have gone back since then for regular appointments- they do a good job waxing too- and have been very happy with their work. Plus, they're affordable and right in La Jolla. I'd definitely recommend it for individual appointments and for groups. more

Fingertips La Jolla is really a great salon! The girls working there are fun and make you feel at home. Prices are very competitive, location is great and all their services of very high quality. Elle and the girls are the best hidden little nail shop in La Jolla. They are very accommodating, fun, and have lots of services available, Pedicures, manicures, waxing etc. One stop shop. I always get compliments on my nails.... and are the best in painting the perfect flower on your toe. more

I looked for 2 years for a good nail tech and was overjoyed to find Elle and her girls at Fingertips! Elle and her staff are amazing! I can't say enough about them! Elle happily gives up her own time to work around your schedule and gives the star treatment. I've been to so many nail salons...from Elizabeth Arden to Happy Nails. The product and service you will get at Fingertips rivals top end salons while the price rivals low end salons! Where else can you get top products at a competitive price?!?! The girls are very experienced and do a great job. The atmosphere is very relaxing and fun. I've had a wonderful facial and painless waxing. I also brought all my bridesmaids there to get all made up before the wedding. Our nails looked great for the wedding. I am very pleased with their work. I could never go to anyone else after using Fingertips. I make jewelry, garden, play sports and have never had one nail break since I have switched to Fingertips which is almost a year. The pedicures are very relaxing. You are never rushed and the attention to detail is always consistent. Elle and the girls always leave me laughing, I always look forward to my next appointment. Elle has been doing my nails for about 8 years. She does a great job at a fair price and will bend over backwards to please you. The shop is always neat and clean . Tawny does a wonderful pedicure with a great leg and foot massage. All the ladies there are friendly and helpful. They always offer me a drink (hot or cold) and are polite and helpful on the phone. If you want to get your nails done in La Jolla, go to Fingertips of La Jolla. You will be pleased with the care you receive there. And there is free parking, something that isn't always available in La Jolla. Check out the other cute shops in the area or have some sushi at the neighboring restaurant.
