Absolutely, hands down, with out a doubt THE BEST home inspector you could possibly hire!!! Guys and girls, USE DAN RODGERS! This is the second home I have had him inspect, and the first purchase. Being that I am dabbling in real estate investing, it will not be the last! I don't know how else to put it, but I will try. He provides excellent expertise. He could most easily be a contractor in any of the areas he inspects (everything that has to do with a home by the way). His expertise is vast in all areas of home construction and maintenance. WIth that expertise he is also on your side! As far as I know almost all of his business is in referrals. Read the reviews. I have yet to read a bad review on him, and if I ever do, I would argue their credibility. Do yourself a favor, Hire Dan Rodgers as your home inspector. He will see things that others will not, or choose not, to see. His inspection will come nice and neat in an organized fashion WITH PICTURES INCLUDED! He will not provide you with the inspection report immediately following as some of these other inspectors do. His work does not stop when he leaves the sight. He honestly will labor over and deliberate the inspection for some time. He is open and available for any questions at all. He loves what he does. He loves helping people and protecting their interes in what might possibly be the biggest investment of their life. Do not automatically use the home inspector that your agent suggests. Keep in mind, your agent makes money on the deal, and his/her home inspector make smoney off of his/her referrals. Wow! My Wife and I and my agent where pleasantly surprised. Heck, forget being nice...we where possitively floored. Final Analaysis Home Inspections far exceeded our expectations. They truely cared about our best interest. We thought our last inspection (recommended by a realtor) was good until we met Dan. He found things that even the seller did not know about. We where shocked to discover the foundation footings where unstable in this newer home. The repairs cost $12,000 that the seller took care of. What a close call.
