We began staying at the Fiesta-Henderson when it was know as the Reserve. It was known for having a good gambling including 100% inventory of full pay video poker machines, a friendly staff and good rates. The video poker machine inventory has declined, but enough full pay machines are available to make most people happy and the staff and room rates have not suffered severly over the intervening years. The room quality is acceptable and relative large in size, but you won't confuse it with a Strip property. The rooms were renovated a few years back, but it was primarily limited to fresh coats of paint, new carpeting and wallpaper. The pool area is attractive though facing the new parking garage and surface parking area. In additon to the new parking garage, recent improvements included an expansion of the casino including an enlarged sports book. Dining options though limited, a food court is in process of being constructed, are generally a cut above with the steakhouse Fuego the crown jewel. Other dining options include a satisfactory buffet, Amigos (Mexican) and Baja Cafe (coffee house).
Pros: good value
Cons: cheap towels, fair quality furniture, distance from Strip
