In the past 4 years, this place went thru 4 rental office managers. In 2004, it was owned by Triangle Real Estate Services. But, after all the complaints, Ardent Property Management took over by 2006. First, the windows were horrible. You had to layer on the window insulation during the winter or your furnace would run constantly. Second, you were charged for water/electricity as a ""unit"". Regardless of how much or how little you used, your bill was divided by the number of apartments within your ""unit"". Then you were left feeling like you paid for someone else?s usage. Third, the move out conditions was absurd. Upon termination of my lease, I followed the move out sheet given to me only to find out the paint store mentioned for the paint used, was out of business. Fieldstone will not provide you with paint for touch ups. Well, I painted, cleaned, and did everything as noted on the move out sheet that wasn't considered ""wear & tear"" even tho stuff was ""cheaply"" fixed & painted in the first place. I moved out on 11/15/08. On 12/12/08, I received a packet from Ardent with a damage bill of almost $4,200. They ""claim"" they replaced the base boards throughout the entire apartment; doorframes & moldings were also replaced. Labor stated was 93 hours (2-1/2 weeks) at a price of $2,100. They charged me for a few light bulbs (which I know were not out since I made sure right before I turned in my keys they were all in working order). And since when can you be charged for carpet after 4 years? It's called ""wear & tear"". It?s not like it was made from imported Egyptian wool. I am so outraged by these fees. These apartments are almost 30 years old anyways and showing horrible signs of aging; it's not the Taj Mahal. Beware of this place. I've figured out that the longer you live here, the more you are charged when you leave. They lure you in and screw you over once you move out. I would never recommend anything Ardent Properties to anyone.
