The number one reason I called their office was because my best friend had recently divorced and recommended him - EVEN THOUGH HE WAS HER HUSBAND'S LAWYER! I hired him after meeting with him and asking what to do with a divorce that I had been putting off for almost a year. He was very nice but had a no BS straightforward approach and told me some things that I probably didn't want to hear. In the end I appreciated his honesty and thought he did a wonderful job getting me a very good settlement without dragging everyone through a lot of unnecessary court stuff. He's a really good lawyer and if you need to get a divorce (try not to) then you should definitely hire him. more

I hired another lawyer to represent me in my divorce first before I hired Jami and had a terrible experience. The first lawyer I used was impossible to communicate with and didn't seem to really care about my case. Then I called Jami after seeing a billboard and I'm glad I did. He handled my divorce very professionally and I was really happy with how prepared he was. When we went to court the judge actually said they were impressed how well he he had everything in order. He told me what to expect to win on and what things I probably wouldn't win even if he did the best lawyering job ever and I appreciated that. Overall he was super smart, considerate and a hard-worker. I definitely endorse him. more

Okay, a friend of mine had used him for her divorce. My first experience with Mr. Ferrell started with a phone call to his office when I asked a few questions about a possible divorce and some custody issues. He called me back and after talking he told me that he didn't think that I really needed him yet and that I should just save my money and come back to him later after I did a few things (that he told me to do) myself. Here are a few things to point out about the above statement: 1. This was totally opposite of what another attorney I had already met with had told me when he said that I would need him to do a ton of work and then asked for a $6,000 retainer. (By the way, does anyone really understand what they heck how retainers work? I'm still trying to figure them out.) 2. He did this for free and told me that he hoped to never hear from me again, but that he would be there if I did call. 3. He didn't try to scare me into hiring him like the other attorney did. Fast-forward nine months later and I ended up having to come back to him for advice. That's when I hired him for my divorce. This was my first marriage and first divorce, so I don't really have a lot of experience with divorce lawyers, but if all lawyers worked like Mr. Ferrell does then I don't think lawyers would have such a bad reputation. The whole experience with his office was really good. Tracey, his assistant, was a sweetheart and he was way nicer than I expected from an attorney. He knew what he was doing and didn't seem to waste my time or money. The only warning I'll give is that he is pretty busy, so sometimes it did take him until the next day to call me back. But when he did call he was always happy to spend time explaining everything to me without making me feel like I was bothering him or that I was stupid. If I ever need a divorce again (God please no!) he'll be the person I call. more

When I couldn't take my husband for one more minute I decided I needed to get out of the marriage, but I wanted to be smart about how I did it. I ended up visiting three different law firms to make sure I was making the right decision on who to hire. Mr. Ferrell was the only attorney who didn't just tell me whatever they thought would get me to hire them, and the only one who didn't push me signing up with him that day. (He was actually the first lawyer I met with and recommended I meet with other lawyers just to make sure I was comfortable with whoever I ended up choosing to work with.) I'm very happy that I did pick the Ferrell Law Firm. Mr. Ferrell was extremely knowledgeable in every area of my divorce. He let me know what to expect during the hearings we had at the courthouse and during the mediation we went to. Because he was such a nice guy whenever we met I was a little concerned at first that he might not be "mean" enough, but that definitely wasn't an issue. It was great watching him tear into my husband at court. I had warned him that my husband was a smart a** but he said that would end up being to our advantage. After seeing Mr. Ferrell get him to wiggle uncomfortably and get all turned around with his lies on the witness stand I wasn't worried again whether he would be tough enough. He was pretty ferocious:) I'm just happy that I hired Mr. Ferrell. Going through a divorce definitely sucks, but I always knew what to expect and thought he worked really hard to help me. Anytime I had questions him or Tracey always called me back or emailed me. And I never felt like he was taking advantage of me or racking up his fees. If your looking for a good divorce attorney you should hire him. more

I read all the stellar comments online too but he did not measure up to hype about him. Look somewhere else if you looking for an attorney who will take your situation seriously, well-advise you and not waste your money then do not chose this guy. I was very disappointed not all what I expected due to all the "awards" he obtained. I think he must know someone to get those awards but his performace was lacking. He is pleasant and will tell you everything you want to hear. After telling him my situation he told me a kinds of wonderful new to get everything want I wanted, acted like a roaring lion to the opposing side but came out wimpy. When it comes down to it he let me down. It's all an act. He charged for several hours and did not produce a viable document just a bunch of drafted papers and emails that never ended up anywhere. After $2000 in less than 2 weeks, he exhausted the entire retainer and said I owed him more...I was insulted! He did not even filed in court like he said he would! My best advice: look for someone who will act for you and take your matter seriously as if it were their life hanging in the balance. Do not take your chances with this predatory lawyer. You are better off representing yourself if you hire this one. more

I thought Jami handled my case really well. I don't know every lawyer in town, but I felt like I met or talked with all of them when I was trying to find the right person to hire. Jami definitely stood out as the person to pick though, and I'm really happy with how he helped me. Good experience and good results, I'm not sure what else I can say, A+. more

I hired the Ferrell Law Firm to help me with my divorce. It was an emotional time for and I really appreciated that everyone in their office treated with with respect and kindness. Everything was very open, the pricing, the procedure, and how my divorce would work out. It was happy that he took the time to explain everything to me and even got back to me quickly on the ton of emails and calls I sent in a panicked frenzy (I was too worried). I've already recommended Jami to one of my friends, and I was actually told about him from one of my friends. So if you're looking for a good lawyer to help with your divorce you should give him a call. more

I hired Jami Ferrell (the owner) to help me with my divorce and was happy with how he helped me. He brought up a lot of ideas and points that I hadn't even thought about. If he wouldn't have told me about those things I would have let my husband get away without paying me anywhere near what he owed me. (My husband was trying to hide a BIG part of his retirement.) Their office was always professional and kept me in the loop of what was going on. I don't really have much more to say. Oh yeah, I did like their "fair fees" or whatever they called it. I was blown away by what some of the others lawyers said they charged. Anyway, I recommend him if you need a good divorce lawyer. more

Good: I liked that they were so quick to either email or call me back anytime I had questions. I also liked how Jami took the time to review everything over with me without pressuring me to make any quick decisions. He was the first lawyer that I've ever felt comfortable talking to and opening up with. I had met with two other lawyers before I hired him and I'm glad I made the decision that I did. The other's just didn't seem as "real" or caring.. Bad: I can't really think of anything.. Improvements: None I can think of. They were out of diet coke one day when I came in, so maybe they should keep more on hand? :). Other: I've told two other people about my experience with Jami and the Ferrell Law Firm and both really thanked me after they met him. I'd just recommend you should at least meet with them for one of their "marital assesments", and make up your own mind. For me it was definitely worth the fee.. more

My experience with the firm has been horrible to say the least. I have never had to deal with lawyers before and my reasons for hiring this particular firm sadly was for divorce proceedings. Everyone who has had to go through it knows how hard divorce is and its worse when all you have are money minded, unapprochable lawyers that have no time for their client, drag the process for as long as they can while still billing with no progress whatsover. Worse is at times when phones don't get answered they claim to have lost secretaries and the lawyers walk away from the firm in the middle of your case then let you know that you can pay to have them continue with your case separately. Why does the client have to pay for the firm splitting and if one contracted them shouldn't his case be seen through despite the split. More than a year down the line, am still as married as I was when I walked into theor doors, thousands broker and no clear horizon ahead just yet. I need advice on how to get justice against them and get divorced too! more

Mr. Ferrell might just be the most sincere person, much less lawyer, that I've ever dealt with. He took the time to make sure that I really understood everything to expect and what would happen in my case and was dead-on. This really helped with the stress I was going through. I appreciated that he always called me back with updates and never left me in the dark on anything. And I was more than happy with how he handled my case. If you need a good lawyer who does what he says he will do then call this guy! more

Mr. Ferrell is an ethical attorney who acts like he cares about his clients. If you have a personal injury problem you would be wise to seek his consultation. more
